Shah Rukh Khan, aka SRK, is undeniably one of the legendary actors from the Indian film industry. There will be hardly anyone who hasn’t heard of the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’. Millions of people are fans of 'King Khan' around the world. His charisma, coupled with his acting skills, ignites the silver screen, and fans go gaga over him. He is the epitome of timeless stardom, and his starry fan following is an example of the same.
SRK has been ruling the Hindi film industry for over three decades now. He first stepped into the world of glitz and glam in 1988, and since then, there has been no turning back. 'King Khan' stepped onto the stairs of success one after the other and has made a home in our hearts. And his fan-following is not just restricted to ordinary people. The Hollywood legendary actor, Leonardo DiCaprio and the 'Bollywood's Badshah' almost did a movie together. The cinema stalwarts were once cast for a film titled Xtreme City. The film was reportedly based on a cross-cultural theme, which was designed for both Bollywood and Hollywood. But unfortunately, the project never saw the light of the day. Leonardo was pretty excited to work with SRK. He even said:
“I am so happy to get a new project with Shahrukh Khan. Starring in a movie with him will make me more popular than I am now!”
The popular singer, Chris Martin from the band, Coldplay, is definitely a die-hard fan of King Khan. The singer once shared a list of songs he was hooked on at that time from his band's official Twitter handle (currently X). He signed off with a special shoutout to Shah Rukh Khan. He wrote ‘Shah Rukh Khan forever’. When Coldplay came to India for the Global Citizen Festival in 2016, SRK even threw an after-party for Chris Martin and his bandmates at his bungalow, Mannat.

Millions around the world love the Wolverine fame actor, Hugh Jackman. But did you know that the actor considers SRK as ‘God’? During his visit to India in 2011, Jackman was honoured as the chief guest at the FICCI Awards, and he received the 'Excellent International Honour Award'. During the event, the famous Hollywood actor was asked about who apart from him could play ‘Wolverine’. He immediately responded with 'Shah Rukh Khan' and also expressed his desire to take dance lessons from him.
Back in 2012, Penelope Cruz lauded Shah Rukh Khan for his remarkable role in the movie, Swades. She expressed her interest in playing a typical role in a Bollywood film and shared her desire to co-star with SRK. During an interview with the media outlet, DNA, she stated:
“I am a great fan of Indian cinema, and I would love to work with Shah Rukh Khan.”

During a press conference, Kristen Stewart, well-known for her role in the Twilight series, expressed her interest in working in both Bollywood and Hollywood films alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She also spoke highly of his ability as a romantic hero in the film industry. She said:
“I am a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan, who is the epitome of romance in Bollywood… Not just Hollywood, I’d love to work with him in Bollywood movies too, and for that, I am also looking forward to learning Hindi. I’ve seen the promos for Ra. One which is very impressive. He is truly an inspiration.”
The popular American actor-singer, Lady Gaga is an ardent fan of SRK. She adores watching him on screen. The two celebrities have been friends ever since he hosted her during her visit to India years ago. In 2020, Lady Gaga was spotted cheering for SRK as he presented his segment during an online event. Gaga shared a video of SRK's segment and was heard enthusiastically rooting for him.
During the promotion of his film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 in 2011, Robert Pattinson was asked to list his top 5 favourite films. According to the New Indian Express, the Hollywood actor expressed his admiration for the romantic blockbuster, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Pattinson said:
“Well, I have five movies in my top list which I really admire and love watching. ‘Notting Hill’, ‘50 First Dates‘, ‘Sweet November’ and ‘Ghost’. And I also really liked the Bollywood movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. I love the sweet romance portrayed in the movie.”

The handsome hunk of Hollywood, Ian Somerhalder, too, is swooned away by the charms of the 'Badshah of Bollywood'. The Vampire Diaries actor once shared that he wanted to cast two Indian actors for his sci-fi series, V Wars, in order to build a strong base in India. He said while he was researching the same, he realised how powerful and impressive Bollywood is. He further shared:
"I was watching 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman' and I saw Shah Rukh Khan on it. I said 'wow! look at this guy'. First of all, he is on the David Letterman show so, he's gotta be cool. He is so charismatic, so down-to-earth. I was researching him and watching his stuff. He is a massive star but he is also such a cool guy."
During the 2015 Asian Awards, Zayn Malik, a former One Direction member, was pleasantly surprised by the down-to-earth nature of the Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan. Zayn further made it clear that he is fond of the Indian film, Devdas, and meeting Khan only reinforced his admiration. Despite Khan's fame and success, his humility left a lasting impression on Zayn Malik. He said:
“Bollywood is so impeccable. If you ever get a chance to watch a good Bollywood movie, watch Devdas! Have you seen Devdas? It’s got Shah Rukh Khan in it. You know who Shah Rukh Khan is?”
Daniel Radcliffe, who rose to fame with his role as ‘Harry Potter’, has expressed his admiration for the 'King of Bollywood', SRK. During an interview in 2013, Radcliffe praised the music in Bollywood films as being incredibly cool. He also spoke highly of SRK, stating that he holds him in high regard. In an interview with DNA, Radcliffe shared his appreciation for the Bollywood industry and its talented stars and said:
“Shah Rukh Khan is really famous in Britain, and I’m really fond of him. He is definitely the epitome of style and class!”
