Shah Rukh Khan, who is known for respecting every person he comes in contact with, has been giving cold vibes to the media, especially paparazzi. The superstar changed his attitude after the media tried to frame his son, Aryan Khan, in a false drug case in 2021. A celebrity photographer, Varinder Chawla, revealed his honest interaction with Shah Rukh Khan.
Recently, the celebrity photographer, Varinder Chawla sat for an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, wherein he revealed that he once got a chance to interact with Shah Rukh Khan, and he clearly talked about the reason for avoiding media. Varinder revealed that during the shooting of Pathaan, one of his boys crossed the boundary and took some personal photos of Shah Rukh Khan and his family.
"Mujhe yaad Pathaan ka release ka tha. Toh mere ladke ne, humari na boundaries hoti hai, toh mai ne apne ladko ko bola hai hume boundaries mein rahe kar hi kaam karna hai, agr koi actor gym ke ander jaayega, toh tum ander nahi jaoge. Aise hi Pathaan ke time par, mere ladke ne boundaries cross karke Khan sahab ki personal photos and videos leliya tha."
When he received the photos, he scolded the boy and told him never to cross the line and take pictures of a celebrity's private and personal moments. He feared that SRK's team would know what one of his boys had done, and his reputation would also be spoiled. Recalling the moment, Varinder said:
"Toh ladko ne bheji mai ne dekha toh mujhe sahi nai laga,fir mai ne apne ladko ko danta or kaha, 'Tum ye na galat karte ho. Yeh bilkul galat hai mai use bhi nai karunga. Jab tumne yeh shoot kara hai toh unko pata chal gaya hoga ki pap team ne kara hai, mera naam kharab hoga."
After this, Varinder immediately called Shah Rukh's PR team and told them what one of his employees had done. He even assured them the photos and videos wouldn't get uploaded as he had deleted them. Within ten minutes, he got a call from Shah Rukh's manager, Pooja Dadlani, who told him that Shah Rukh wanted to talk to him. Recalling his conversation with Shah Rukh, Varinder shared:
"Mai dara hua tha ki vo dantege, jab unhone phone pakda toh bole, 'Beta mujhe bataya inhone ki apne video delete kar diya. Aisa nahi hai ki mai durr rehna chahta hoon media se lekin mai bhi ek bache ka baap hoon. Jo bhi media mein cheeje hui hai galat hai.'"
Varinder added that his three-to-five-minute conversation made him realise that Shah Rukh was hurt as a father. His son, Aryan, was being framed in the drug case matter, and the way Shah Rukh narrated his side of the story, Varinder understood it was a father's pain. He added that the media actually tried taking advantage of his son's false case. After this, Shah Rukh avoided maintaining any relationship with the media. He stopped getting clicked by paps.
