In the last few years, the actor has taken a break from other events and is focusing on his film career. But, after a long break, SRK is all set to host IIFA, and the organisers made sure to give him a grand welcome.
On September 26, 2024, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted at the airport in the early morning as he left for Abu Dhabi to attend IIFA awards. When he reached his hotel in Abu Dhabi, the organisers prepared a grand welcome for the star, who will host an event after a long hiatus. There is a lot of excitement among the fans about the same. The official Instagram handle of IIFA shared pictures and videos of Shah Rukh. The actor looked handsome, as always, in a simple white tee-shirt, jeans paired with a black jacket that he carried in his hands. He completed his look with a cap, sunglasses, a statement watch and white shoes.

IIFA gave a little insight into their preparation for King Khan's room. They ensured a memorable welcome to the superstar by filling it with customised chocolates, cake, chips, and other delectable treats. The special cake featured a few posters of Shah Rukh's films with custom greeting cards and film-themed exotic chocolates. Alongside, a collection of cookies and snacks from internationally acclaimed brands were placed together for him. They captioned the post writing:
"Sneak peak into Shah Rukh Khan's room! Shah Rukh Khan."
Shah Rukh Khan often prefers to travel during the midnight hours. He did the same when he left for the airport, where his security guards escorted him as he went towards the entry gate. However, soon, the nearby fans spotted him and created a commotion. A ring of guards surrounded the actor, but he soon got pushed and lost his balance. However, he maintained his calm and went ahead even though a few female fans screamed and howled for him at the airport. The video soon went viral and received a mix of reactions, with a few fans admiring his stardom and others criticising the behaviour of those fans.

Shah Rukh was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's film, Dunki co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and more. He will next be seen in King, where he will share the screen space with his daughter, Suhana Khan for the first time, who made her debut recently. The film by Sujoy Ghosh will also star Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma.
