Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most talented and loved actors in Indian cinema. Ruling the world at large with his charismatic personality and exceptional acting prowess, the actor has curated a special place for himself in the hearts of many. Fondly known to many as Badshaah, SRK has never failed to impress audiences with each of his films, and can easily give younger actors a run for their money with his performances. Off lately, the actor is basking in a lot of love and fame, courtesy of his three back-to-back blockbuster films, Jawan, Pathaan and Dunki.
Ranbir Kapoor is one such actor from the younger generations, who has strived to establish himself as a versatile actor in the film industry. After making his not-so-successful debut with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-film, Saawariya, the actor has come a long way since, delivering some memorable performances on the celluloid. Moreover, he is also known to be a man with no competition in the film industry, as he simply knows his way to stand out from the rest. However, there was a time when Ranbir, in one of his previous interviews, claimed that he never competed with any other actor from his generation. In fact, he mentioned having competition with senior actors, especially Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Soon after, in an interview with CNN-IBN, Shah Rukh Khan was asked about his reaction to such a statement made by Ranbir Kapoor. In his response, SRK clearly stated how he is here in the film industry and doesn’t have a grandfather backing him. Moreover, taking a dig at Ranbir’s backing of an established film family, SRK shared how he does not have someone behind him to give that extra push. Warning any and all of his competitors to not mess with him, he had said:
“I don’t have any competition. I’d be very honest. I don’t say that with immodesty or self-centred pompousness. I don’t have any competition. I have not come here to compete, I have come here to rule. And I believe that when I wake up in the morning. I don’t want it to be the universal truth. When an actor or an actress turns around and says I want to beat Shah Rukh Khan. Bring it on. That’s absolutely alright. But personally I would say, ‘don’t mess with this’. You do your job, be nice.”
Previously, during the promotions of his film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Ranbir Kapoor was quipped to name that one actor whom he thinks would be the best babysitter for his daughter, Raha Kapoor. Without a pause, he immediately took none other than, Shah Rukh Khan’s name and mentioned that King Khan would be the best person who could do so. Elaborating his choice, he then mentioned:
"I think Shah Rukh Khan will be a great babysitter. All he has to do is this (gesturing his open arms pose) and I am sure Raha will be very happy to see him doing that."

Well, this isn’t the first time that Ranbir Kapoor has made some startling opinions, concerning other actors. For instance, back in one of the older seasons of the controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan, Ranbir Kapoor had made a strange remark about the co-guest in the show, Imraan Khan. While speaking about their respective career graphs in the show, since they were contemporaries, Ranbir remarked how he perceives Imran as a kind of an actor who would leave the profession at the height of his career, due to disinterest. Seemingly so, Imraan did end up stepping down from showbiz post 2015.
