Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed 'King' of Bollywood. The actor never skips a chance to win the hearts of his fans with his handsome looks, jaw-dropping acting skills, humble nature, and more. Talking about his professional life, SRK made a comeback to the screens in 2023 and gave three back-to-back hit movies, Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki. However, it was back in 2017 when SRK hosted the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, which marked his return to television.
SRK recently sat for a conversation at ‘The Making of a Star: A Conversation with Shah Rukh Khan’ at the World Government Summit, which was held in Dubai. When the host, Richard Quest asked the Jawan actor about his feelings when he witnessed any contestant being close to winning one million, SRK revealed an unheard anecdote. The actor shared that he would really hope that the contestants would win the game. The actor further added that he wanted to help the contestants, but he couldn't, as the producers of KBC used to shout in his ears. Sharing how the last questions of the show used to be tough, SRK mentioned:
"I genuinely hoped that they won. There were so many people coming from different parts of the country. There were times when I wanted to help them, but you know, you can’t! The producers would keep shouting in your ears, saying, ‘You can’t say this!’ ‘You have already said enough! The last four or two questions were really tough.”

For those who don't know, after being the host of KBC, SRK was offered to play the role of a fictional host in the award-winning Dev Patel-starrer, Slumdog Millionaire. However, after working for a while on the film, Shah Rukh backed out, and Anil Kapoor replaced him. Coming back to the recent interview, when asked about the reason for backing out from Danny Boyle's directorial film, SRK shared that the character in the film was cheating, which he found to be a bit disrespectful to KBC producers, as he was hosting the show earlier. The actor can be quoted as saying:
"He was shown cheating on the show, and I thought it was disrespectful to the producers of KBC because I was hosting it. I didn’t take up the role. Eventually, Anil Kapoor played it, and he did a brilliant job."
On his appearance in Koffee With Karan, Shah Rukh Khan talked about his experience of working as a host on KBC. The Jawan actor mentioned that he wanted to help the contestants very much, but suddenly, the questions used to be so tough that he didn't even know the answers himself. Shah Rukh had said:
"Suddenly, these difficult questions are thrown at you, and you’re like, ‘O my God, this person is not going to get the correct answer,’ and I felt really bad. I wished I had some hint. I didn’t want to mislead them because most of the time I didn’t know the answer."

In an old interview with the Bombay Times, SRK stated that he was well aware of the fact that Slumdog Millionaire director, Danny Boyle would feel bad about his decision to turn down the film, but the latter is being a good person, and he has special kind of love for India. SRK had stated that he saw the film after it got released and found Anil Kapoor's role and acting mettle amazing there.

Talking about his personal life, Shah Rukh Khan is a complete family man. The actor got married to Gauri Khan, and they have three kids, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam Khan. Apart from being an amazing actor, SRK is a doting kid to his kids. And the proof of the same can often be found. During a press conference, SRK stated that his kids, Aryan and Suhana told him to work hard for their little brother, AbRam. He said that his kids mentioned that they felt the stardom of their father in the air and grew up with it, and they would want AbRam to feel the same. Aryan Khan is all set to make his directorial debut by the web series, Stardom, while Suhana stepped into Bollywood with the film, The Archies and received mixed reactions.
