Shah Rukh Khan Reveals Firstborn, Aryan Resembled Jackie Chan On Birth, 'Trained Him In Taekwondo..'

Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, Gauri Khan are the power couple in Bollywood. The duo embraced parenthood for the first time when they were blessed with a baby boy on November 12, 1997, and named him Aryan Khan. Later, they were blessed with a daughter, Suhana Khan, and a son, AbRam Khan. Shah Rukh Khan's elder son, Aryan Khan, is now an aspiring filmmaker, and he will make his debut as a director with the web series, Stardom.

Shah Rukh Khan recently graced the Locarno Film Festival 2024 and was felicitated with the Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno Tourism award for his contribution to cinema. The actor displayed his wit and charm as he sat for a rare interview with the artistic director of the Locarno Film Festival, Giona A. Nazzaro. During the same, SRK confessed his love for Jackie Chan and said:

"If I had to count my favourite actors of all time, Mr. Jackie Chan will be right up there. He's funny, physically amazing and enacts well. He continues to inspire me."

Shah Rukh Khan revealed Aryan Khan looked like Jackie Chan when he was born

The superstar also revealed why he wanted his elder son, Aryan Khan, to become like Jackie Chan and learn martial arts. SRK shared that when Aryan was born, he looked like Jackie Chan, so the actor trained him in Taekwondo. King Khan also added that Jackie Chan once signed a cap for Aryan and said:

"When my first son, Aryan, was born, I felt he looked like Jackie Chan. He looked very Jackie Chan-ish to me. I trained him in Taekwondo assuming he'll grow up to be Jackie Chan. I really wanted him to be that. A few years later, Mr. Jackie Chan signed a cap for Aryan."

Further in the conversation, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he met Jackie Chan in Saudi Arabia a few years back. He also shared that the martial arts actor was very sweet and humble. Shah Rukh further sarcastically mentioned that Jackie promised to open a Chinese restaurant in partnership with him but he hasn't done it yet. In his words:

"Many years later, like 3-4 years ago, I had the privilege of meeting him in Saudi Arabia. He was as sweet and humble as I had expected him to be. If he (Jackie Chan) ever sees this interview, he promised to open a Chinese restaurant in partnership and he hasn't done so."

Shah Rukh Khan recalled the time when his wife, Gauri Khan went into labour

During their appearance on Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, Shah Rukh and his wife, Gauri Khan were seen recalling the time of their firstborn, Aryan’s birth. When Simi asked Gauri if Shah Rukh shared her pregnancy experience with her, the doting wife recalled the time she went into labour for the first time. SRK also revealed that he tried his best to be there for Gauri, but he didn’t know how a woman reacts when she goes into labour. He added that he had seen in films that a woman is supposed to breathe calmly during labour, but Gauri was not breathing like that as she had a caesarean.
