There have been many instances when Shah Rukh Khan had proved that he is the most down-to-earth celebrity in B-town. From helping out cancer patients to acid attack victims, this silent charity maker has reached out his hand to people from all walks of life. But Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t like discussing about the charity and good deeds that he does. Revealing the reason, Shah Rukh had once stated in an interview with CNN, “I’ve seen the worst. My father was dying and we couldn’t afford the expensive injections. My aunt used to send them from London. But if the course was of 20 injections, we managed only eight. So I’ll never know whether he died because we didn’t have the money or he died because he had to. I don’t like talking about it [charity].”
Shah Rukh Khan, the founder of Meer Foundation, which takes an initiative to support acid attack survivors, congratulated one of the acid attack bravehearts, who tied the knot recently. Anupama, who is associated with the Meer Foundation, tied the knot to Jagdeep Singh and congratulating them on their wedding, Shah Rukh wrote, "Congratulations and my love to Anupama as she starts on this new journey of life. May it be filled with love light and laughter. U r the man Jagdeep...and may u both have double the reasons to be happy with this union."

Shah Rukh Khan’s gesture floored his fans and comments like, "Congratulations and my love to Anupama as she starts on this new journey of life. May it be filled with love light and laughter. U r the man Jagdeep...and may u both have double the reasons to be happy with this union", “Thank you GOD SRK for bringing happiness in their life. This is really sweet to see them so happy” started flooding in on his tweet.

Meer Foundation was founded in 2013 which Shah Rukh Khan had named it after his father and the aim of the foundation is to uplift the lives of the women who went through this brutal attack. Announcing the name of his foundation, Shah Rukh had tweeted, “A foundation I named after my father - @MeerFoundation - aims to create a network of support for women. Shah Rukh Khan had also started an initiative, ToGETher Transformed, which focused on getting corrective surgeries done for acid attack victims. Shah Rukh had met the acid attack victims earlier this year and sharing a collage with them, had tweeted, “All of u please put ur hands in prayer...and say Bhagwan inki zindagi ki nayi shuruaat mein...inpar karam karna...May God have mercy on them...Insha Allah. These r my sisters & need ur prayers for recovery, without distinguishing between the mode of prayer.”

When Shah Rukh Khan and his Meer Foundation team managed 120 surgeries undergoing under their ToGETher Transformed initiative, he had taken to Instagram to thank the doctors for the ‘noble cause’. Sharing the group picture, Shah Rukh had written, “Thank u @meerfoundationofficial for the initiative of #ToGetHerTransformed and best of luck and health to the 120 ladies whose surgeries are underway. And all the docs who r helping us with this noble cause.” Meer Foundation’s official Instagram handle too, had given glimpses of the session and they had captioned it as “It’s a festive celebration of hope & togetherness at #MeerFoundation. We are proud to have organised surgeries for burn and acid attack survivors on this auspicious day in #Delhi #ToGETherStronger. Our pursuit was powered by the presence and support of @iamsrk & Meer family.”
Mid-2019, a video of Shah Rukh Khan had gone viral on social media wherein we could see the well-suited man making his way to the wedding of his hairstylist, Raaj Gupta’s sister. And without a second thought, the guests were floored by his sweet gesture as he went on the stage to bless the bride and groom before they embark their journey of togetherness. Shah Rukh had given them a hug and had congratulated them on their wedding. SRK had looked dapper in a black suit and the internet went crazy over his generosity for attending the wedding.
