Shahid Afridi's Youngest Daughter Is Ecstatic As Afridi Family Welcomes Their Newborn Member At Home

Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi, a.k.a. Shahid Afridi, is a former Pakistani cricketer, who also served as the captain of their national cricket team. Recently, his second eldest daughter, Ansha Afridi, who is married to Pakistani fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, gave birth to her first child, a son named Aliyaar Afridi. The Afridi family's happiness knows no bounds as they welcomed the newest member with much pomp and show.

On August 26, 2024, Shahid Afridi took to his Instagram account to share a short video in which he was seen cradling Shaheen and Ansha's newborn baby boy in his arms. Meanwhile, Shahid's youngest daughter, Arwa, was ecstatic about welcoming her nephew to their home. The little one was heard asking her father to show Aliyaar to her. Moreover, the former Pakistani cricketer also asked for prayers and well wishes for the newborn baby.

Shaheen Afridi penned a heartwarming post on the birth of his first child

On August 26, 2024, Shaheen Shah Afridi took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to announce the birth of his first child officially. In a heartfelt note, the Pakistani cricketer mentioned that his baby's arrival changed everything. Sharing a monochrome picture of three hands, one of his and his wife and the third one of his newborn son, Shaheen thanked his wife for undergoing pain to bring a new life into the world. Shaheen's note can be read as:

"This moment changes everything! My heart is full and my life just got a whole lot better. 24/08/2024 will always be special to us. Welcome to the world my son, Aliyaar Afridi. I will forever be thankful to my wife for all the pain and sufferings she had to endure. She is literally the support system of our little family. I am grateful for all the lovely wishes and prayers coming our way. Remember my little family in your prayers."

Shaheen Afridi celebrated the birth of his son on the field

The media reported Shaheen Afridi's first child's birth on August 24, 2024, during day four of the opening Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh. When the Pakistani fast bowler dismissed Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud, Shaheen made a cradling gesture to celebrate his first wicket after the birth of his baby boy.

Meanwhile, the former Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to express his gratitude and happiness on becoming the 'youngest grandfather' at the age of 47. He penned a post in Urdu and thanked everyone for sending their best wishes and prayers to his family on this special occasion. Shahid's post, when translated to English, can be read as:

"You are receiving loving messages from all your friends on becoming the youngest grandfather in the world of cricket. My family and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for joining us in our happiness."

Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Afridi's relationship timeline

Shahid Afridi has five daughters: Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara, and Arwa. His second eldest daughter, Ansha, got engaged to Shaheen in March 2021. The couple took the next step in their relationship in February 2023 when they tied the knot in a nikah ceremony in the presence of their family and friends. Ansha and Shaheen celebrated their wedding and walima later in September 2023. Almost a year later, the couple embraced parenthood.
