For the world that believes in the concept of fluttering romance and love marriages, the thought of tying the knot in an arranged set up by families looked alien. And with more and more millennials choosing their own love partner, the essence of arranged marriages is termed as 'old'. But thanks to Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor, everyone's faith in the arranged marriages are restored. He not only proudly welcomed his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor to the Tinseltown but had also supported her in her dreams and her own identity.
Earlier, we used to always wonder how on this whole earth you can love a stranger and decide 'in a minute' to spend your entire life with them. But then Shahid and Mira's story gave us a whole new perspective on marriage. And we are sure that love has its own way of finding us. When the 21-year-old, Mira had walked out of the Mumbai airport holding Shahid's hand. She knew not much about the world of glam and glitz but she was adamant on creating her own world with the love of her life and as 'Mrs Kapoor'. And four years down the line, Mira and Shahid are living a beautiful life with two cute little kids.
Recently, Shahid was invited on his best friend, Neha Dhupia's show, No Filter Neha, wherein he was quizzed on giving a piece of relationship advice to Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas. The actor channelled his inner relationship guru and shared that they should understand each other's backgrounds as well as they can. We totally agree with Shahid as Priyanka and Nick have grown in different cultures.
But judging Nick's take on Priyanka's religion shows that he values her beliefs a lot. This year on Karwa Chauth, Priyanka had kept a nirjala fast for the love of her life, Nick. Priyanka had shared a couple of pictures from their celebration that had totally won our heart. Take a look at it below:

For those who don't know, Shahid and Priyanka were heard to be dating. And while the entire Tinseltown knew about the fact, they had never officially accepted it. However, when Shahid's half-brother, Ishaan Khatter had graced the couch on Neha Dhupia’s chat show, BFF's with Vogue, he had almost confirmed Shahid's once relationship with Priyanka. In a segment, he was asked to name his favourite among Shahid’s ex-girlfriends. To which, he had replied, “Oh gosh! Like the most, I cannot say, but I had the friendliest equation with Priyanka Chopra.”
The handsome hunk, Shahid was a completely different man before marriage and the actor himself agrees with it. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Shahid had talked about the changes marriage and kids have brought in his life. He said, "It’s like a wild horse that used to be free in the wild. But for four years, he has been domesticated. So, my self-image has completely changed. I’m a domesticated horse now (laughs). On a serious note, your sense of identity becomes different before marriage as compared to when you have children and wife to come back home to. Then, it’s not just ‘you’ anymore, but more about ‘us.’ I think once you get there, then it’s difficult to get back to ‘you’ in terms of how you even think about life. Your thoughts and decision making a transition from ‘I, me and myself’ to ‘us’. I think that’s a big change."
Well, we totally agree with Shahid's advice of Priyanka and Nick! What about you?
