Shahid Kapoor is one of the most handsome actors of Bollywood among his generation. Known for his power-packed acting mettle, suave dance moves and charismatic personality, Shahid enjoys a massive fan following across the nation. Speaking about his personal life, the once-most desirable hunk of Tinseltown, is happily married to the love of his life, Mira Rajput, and the duo is parents to their two adorable children, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor.
In a recent interaction in Pinkvilla’s show, Masterclass, Shahid Kapoor engaged in a fan segment, where one of his fans asked him to reveal if his children, Misha and Zain have watched any of his films so far. To this, Shahid revealed a hilarious anecdote and mentioned how initially, he and his wifey, Mira would fail to decide which one of his films they would show to their children, since either they weren’t good or weren’t meant for kids. Nevertheless, revealing the film that they finally chose to show to their children, Shahid mentioned:
“For the longest time, Mira would ask me, tumhari konsi film dikhaun bacchon ko? And I would be like, ek bhi mat dikhao. Kuch toh acchi nahi hai aur jo acchi hai woh bacchon ko nhi dikha sakte. So, the first film they saw of mine and they actually went to the theatre when they played Jab We Met in the theaters again. Mira and my mom made this plan, finally ek film hai jo hum iske bacchon ko dikha sakte hai.”

In the same interaction, Shahid then went on to speak about his children’s reaction to watching his performance in the film, Jab We Met. The actor revealed how his son, Zain watched the film and cutely asked him whether he looks the same without a beard, as he was in the film. In his words:
“So they went and watched Jab We Met in the theater and my son came back and he looked at me and said, papa that is how you look without a daadhi? So that's the first film they saw of mine.”
In a previous interaction with Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor had opened up about his experience of working in the film, Kabir Singh, which is a Hindi adaptation to the Telugu film, Arjun Reddy. However, he revealed that he was at first apprehensive of doing the film, since he felt underconfident to have given justice to the character of the film. But, crediting his dear wife, Mira, Shahid concluded how the former motivated him to do the film, as she had immense faith in his talents.

In one of his earlier interviews with Film Companion, Shahid Kapoor had shared an anecdote from his film, Jab We Met. He mentioned how he had fought with everyone in the sets for being allowed to wear glasses for the character of ‘Aditya Kashyap’ in the film. Shahid mentioned being discouraged by many, as they thought that heroes of a film do not wear glasses. On the contrary, Shahid had to make everyone understand that for a character like ‘Aditya’ who contemplated suicide in the first scene of the film, the pair of glasses would work as an enhanced factor.
