Finally, the sigh of relief for the cast and crew of Padmaavat. After so many controversies and protests ban, this film could have their special screening for everyone. The highlight of the screening held on January 23, 2018, was none other than two much-in-love couples’ PDA.
While protagonists Deepika and Ranveer were twinning and walked hand-in-hand, Shahid posed with his lovely wife, Mira Kapoor. Shahid was not only accompanied by his wife, but also his other family members. It was a rare click of Mira Kapoor’s parents with Shahid’s family. Check out the perfect family picture here:
Shahid’s parents Pankaj Kapur, Neelima Azeem, Supriya Pathak and siblings Ishan Khatter and Sanah Kapoor were also present at the screening. The two new faces that caught our attention in the family picture was Mira Kapoor’s parents, Vikramaditya Rajput and Bela Rajput who were there on their damaad’s special day. It was a big day for all of them, and the smiles on their faces was a testimony to that.

Shahid chose to wear a white tee and rugged denim which he paired up with a black jacket. Complementing his dapper look, his wifey looked stunning in a floral black top and black denim. She graced her look with beautiful diamond earrings and high heels. Mira took to her Instagram profile to express her excitement. She shared a still of Shahid from the film and captioned it as, "Spirit makes the king, not just the crown. #MaharawalRatanSingh #Padmaavat."
Well, this is not the first time that we saw Mira’s parents. In August, her mother, Bela was clicked by the paparazzi with her daughter, Misha Kapoor. Misha was getting pampered by her maternal grandmother at a suburban store. The tiny tot was seen wearing a tee which read, 'You make me happy'. And Mira shared a picture with her father giving her a kiss on her wedding day and adorably captioned it, “My strength and weakness #Dad”.
Shahid also shared an incident when he called Mira’s father to apologise after Misha’s birth. This is what he was quoted as saying, "I was both ecstatic and scared. I began thinking of Mira's father and how he must have felt when he gave away his baby, his daughter to this strange guy, an actor from Mumbai with a ponytail and coloured hair, who perhaps thought he was a 'cool dude'. I called him up instantly and apologised if I had troubled him at any point. I may have overlooked his point of view somewhere, regarding something which may have been important to him, this realisation came when I held a baby girl in my hands when I felt vulnerable. I don't want anything to go wrong with her ever. I guess, being a man I always thought of as a man. But holding a baby girl gave me a new perspective. It changes everything.”
We missed Misha in this family picture!
