One of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor had made his acting debut with the film, Ishq Vishk, after appearing as a background dancer in a few films. Son of veteran actor, Pankaj Kapoor and Neliima Azeem, Shahid had played the lead role in movies like Vivah, Jab We Met and Kaminey. He had received critical appreciation for portraying the ‘Hamlet’ in Haider and a drug-abusing singer in Udta Punjab. Shahid’s performance in Haider had gotten him Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Shahid Kapoor’s life had taken a U-turn when he had met the 21-year-old, Delhi-based Mira Rajput for an arranged marriage. It was on July 7, 2015, when Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had begun their happily-ever-after with an intimate Gurudwara wedding. Often tagged as the ‘IT’ couple of the glamour world, Mira and Shahid never fail to give major relationship goals to the millennials. Parents of two adorable kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor, Shahid and Mira leave no stone unturned to make each other feel special. The star wife is the perfect example of beauty with brains and enjoys a huge fandom with a lot of admirers including her husband, who never miss an opportunity to shower praises on her.
Shahid turned a year older today, i.e., February 25, 2021, and we stumbled upon a throwback interview of him where he had spoken about his experience in the labour room during the birth of his daughter, Misha. At the India Today Woman Summit 2017, Shahid had shared a funny incident when he had gotten nervous during his first-born Misha’s birth and was whacked by his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor. Revealing the same, Shahid had said, “When I was in the labour room, I was actually holding my breath like her. At one point, I felt a little dizzy and she kind of whacked me and said, 'Why are you getting dizzy? I'm doing all the work here’.”
On August 26, 2016, Shahid and Mira had embraced parenthood for the first time and had welcomed their baby girl, Misha Kapoor. In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Shahid had shared how coming back to Misha and Mira at home makes him happy. He had stated, "The one thing that puts a smile on my face regardless of what has happened in the day is my daughter Misha. Seeing my wife Mira and daughter after I come back makes me happy." Adding further, he had said, "I try to read bedtime stories to Misha. We sing nursery rhymes together." When asked about the most special moment with Misha, in the same interview, Shahid was quoted as saying, "It's difficult to choose one moment with your child. Every day is etched in my mind when I am around her. Every time she notices me and she calls me papa, it's very special." Sharing feelings about embracing fatherhood, Shahid had said in another interview with a leading daily, “Being a first-time father has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Misha is a wonderful package of positive energy. Misha is a source of positivity for me. She can make me smile even on my worst days.”

Shahid Kapoor never shies away from expressing his love for his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor and their PDAs always speak volumes of the love they have for each other. On November 16, 2020, Shahid had taken to his IG handle and had shared a romantic picture with Mira. In the picture, Mira and Shahid had looked like a match-made-in-heaven as she had rested her head on Shahid’s chest while the two had posed for the camera.
