Shailesh Lodha's Fee In 'TMKOC' Is 400 Percent Higher Than New 'Taarak Mehta' Sachin Shroff's Fee

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest-running sitcom that is currently on air on Indian television. The show has been running for the past sixteen years, and on the way, several cast members have left the show. Some on a bitter note and some due to reasons best known to them. However, fans were heartbroken when Shailesh Lodha left the show.

Shailesh Lodha staggering fees for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Shailesh Lodha was a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for over a decade. He later left the show as creative opinions varied with the makers, and he did not like the way the producer treated him. However, before exiting the show, Shailesh Lodha used to earn a paycheck of Rs. 1.5 lakh per episode.

Sachin Shroff's fee is much less than Shailesh Lodha's per-day salary

After Shailesh Lodha left the show, Sachin Shroff took over the role of 'Taarak Mehta'. While Sachin took over the responsibility of paying such a crucial role, his fees are much less than what Shailesh Lodha used to get. A report by Koimoi revealed that Sachin Shroff gets Rs. 30,000 per episode, which is much less than Shailesh Lodha's per day fee of Rs. 1.5 lakh.

Shailesh Lodha reveals why he left TMKOC

In an interview with Lallantop, Shailesh Lodha was asked the reason for leaving TMKOC. To this, the actor said that he left to protect his self-respect. Shailesh added that in 2022, he was called up to join a stand-up show, Good Night India, on SAB TV as a celebrity guest. Shailesh mentioned that he graced the show as he was happy to be a part of it, as it provided him with his identity as a poet. But Asit Kumarr Modi didn't like it, and a day before the show was telecast, the producer of TMKOC called Shailesh, and the latter didn't like the way the former was talking. Sharing more details about the same, Shailesh mentioned:

"I shot for it and even recited a poem there. A day before the telecast, Taarak Mehta's producer called me asking how could I be on that show. And the language that he used was not civil, leaving me infuriated."

Shailesh Lodha emerged victorious in the lawsuit against Asit Kumarr Modi

For those who may not be aware, there were previous reports that Shailesh had not received a substantial amount from TMKOC producer, Asit. However, a month ago, Shailesh successfully resolved the issue through a lawsuit. As per The Times Of India, the settlement terms dictated a significant amount of Rs. 1,05,84,000 to be paid to Shailesh Lodha by Asit Kumarr Modi. The report also stated that earlier this year, Shailesh sought the assistance of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to help him clear his dues.
