Shailesh Lodha is one of the most popular names in showbiz. He bacame a household name with his stint in the popular sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Although, the actor has quit the show and moved on in life, he still gets immense love from the audience for his character, 'Taarak Mehta'. Unfortunately, Shailesh had to suffer a personal loss as his father passed away.
Taking to his Instagram account, Shailesh Lodha shared with his fans that his father, Mr. Shyam Singh Lodha is no more. He revealed that on the morning of August 29, 2024 his father passed away leaving him all alone and miserable. The note was writted in Hindi by Shailesh, it's English translation reads as:

"Whatever I am... I am your shadow....Today morning's sun brightened the world but it became dark in our life..... Father gave up his body.... If tears were the language, I could have written something..... Say it once again... Bablu."
Shailesh Lodha’s father, Shyam Lodha had been battling with a prolonged illness for the past few years and his condition was rapidly deteriorating over the past one and a half months. Concerned for his father’s health, Shailesh had put all his professional commitments on hold for a while and he even left Mumbai to stay in Jodhpur and be by his father’s side. Sadly, today, his father passed away in a private hospital.
In an interview with Lallantop, Shailesh Lodha was asked the reason for leaving TMKOC. To this, the actor said that he left to protect his self-respect. Shailesh added that in 2022, he was called up to join a stand-up show, Good Night India, on SAB TV as a celebrity guest. Shailesh mentioned that he graced the show as he was happy to be a part of it, as it provided him with his identity as a poet. But Asit Kumarr Modi didn't like it, and a day before the show was telecast, the producer of TMKOC called Shailesh, and the latter didn't like the way the former was talking. Sharing more details about the same, Shailesh mentioned:
"I shot for it and even recited a poem there. A day before the telecast, Taarak Mehta's producer called me asking how could I be on that show. And the language that he used was not civil, leaving me infuriated."
Shailesh Lodha in an old interview shaed that his father was a mingey person who did not like to spend money. He shared that once his Hindi teacher asked him a question about his father about his father spending money but the question took a hilarious turn when Shailesh said:

"Tumhare pitaji ke pant ke ek jeb mein 100 rupees hai aur dusri jeb mein 150 rupees, iska kya matlab? Iska matlab pant kisi aur ki hai."
