In a world where people run after following a certain beauty standard, Shalini has been talking about instilling the right habits. Shalini left everyone in shock when she talking about shaving her head.
We all have a deep love for our hair, and being a girl, it doubles up. But for Shalini Passi, it is a connection to the materialistic world, and in order to feel closer to her, she shaved off her hair four times at Tirupati Balaji. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shalini Passi revealed that her hairdresser denied shaving her since she had really long hair.
Shalini revealed that she told the hairdresser that if he won't do it, then she would have to do it on her own. So, when he did, Shalini prayed to god to take care of her. She was quoted a saying:
"sWhen I decided to shower my head, my barber said, 'I won't shave.' I had very long hair till waist. So, I had very very long hair and he said, so I said, 'Ap nahi karoge toh khud hi karna padega mujhe.' So, he did it and I just prayed to God and I said, 'Bhagwan please dhayan rakh lena mera.' And I just say take care of me."
Shalini further revealed that during the initial phases, she would not meet people or go out for a month or two. She added that for her hair became representation of material world, and she gave it away to connect more deeply to God. She said:
"When you do it, it was so like I felt so pure after shaving my hair. Initially, when I shaved my hair for two months or a month I don't go out and I don't meet people, the first couple of times. Because you feel so clean and connected with God and you are able to meditate better. Somehow your hair becomes a representation of material world for me, attachment. So, I just gave it up."
Shalini Passi, in an interview with NDTV, revealed that she doesn't shave her head as ultimately she would donate it. Shalini also revealed that she had donated. She shared:

"When I shaved my hair at Tirupati, I shaved it four times. So for me also, I don’t want to style my hair much, because ultimately, I will donate it."
In another interview, Shalini shared that she avoids applying heat or colouring products on her hair. She added that she use 'Reetha' and 'Amla' as her natural shampoo. She also applies coconut oil to nourish her hair.
