Yeh Meri Life Hai actress, Shama Sikander had tied the knot with her longtime beau and American businessman, James Milliron, in a destination wedding in Goa on March 14, 2022. Though the couple had wanted to get married for a long time, the pandemic had ruined their dream. However, on D-day, the actress had turned into a gorgeous Christian bride and had looked no less than a princess. Now, Shama has shared her first Eid celebration plans after marriage with her darling husband, James.
For the unversed, on March 14, 2022, Shama had taken to her Instagram space and had posted two pictures from her dreamy white wedding. We could see Shama looking stunning in a white-coloured fitted gown and a sheer long veil in the photos. She had kept her look minimal with dangling earrings and subtle makeup. Her look was accentuated with a loosely tied bun. On the other hand, James had looked dapper in a white tuxedo. Alongside the pictures, Shama had penned:

In a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Shama Sikander mentioned how Eid had been an integral part of her life since childhood. This time, it is more special for the newly married actress because she has her hubby, James, celebrating her culture. Mentioning how she has experienced a shift in her behaviour post-marriage, Shama shared a funny anecdote and said:
"Eid has always been an integral part of my life since childhood. I used to fast a lot before, and look forward to getting eidi. That is what children want! This time, because obviously it's my first after wedding, so we are excited to host our loved ones. This time though, I am looking forward to giving eidi, it's a total shift."
Further, in the conversation, the 40-year-old actress mentioned that Eid's celebration would begin in the morning with her family and close ones, followed by get-togethers till the evening with friends. Sharing about her mother she said her mother cooks delicious foods on Eid while she is more of an eater. Shama can be quoted as saying:

"We will organise a lunch. Everybody wakes up early in the morning, go and do Eid prayers, and open the fast after it. My mom and my whole family cook delicious delicacies, and then come to my house. I love the kebabs. The one thing I never fail to do on every Eid is eating sheer qorma and biryani! I don't prepare. I don't cook, that isn't something I do. I don't enjoy it so much, I am more of an eater."

In the same interview, Shama Sikander was asked if her husband, James has also shown equal interest in celebrating Indian traditions. To this, she revealed that they do not follow rituals. Shama can be quoted as saying:
"We both were very religious at one point, now are totally into spirituality. It's not like we don't want to, but it just doesn't come into our natural being. We respect everybody who does it, goes for iftar. We have iftar at our home as well. Both of us are hence spiritual, we don't do any religious activities anymore. It just happened, it was a conscious decision."
