Shama Sikander is a well-known Indian actress and fashion designer. Although the television actress has appeared in various roles in movies and web series, she received acclaim for her role as ‘Pooja Mehta’ in the television serial, Yeh Meri Life Hai. Shama’s filmography includes Prem Aggan, Mann, Maaya: Slave Of Her Desires, and Ansh: The Deadly Part. In her recent interview, Shama recalled an incident during a jewellery AD shoot when she felt uncomfortable with her co-actor.
In her recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shama Sikander openly discussed her personal life. Meanwhile, she also shared her horrific experiences of casting couch. She briefly discussed an uncomfortable incident that happened during an AD shoot, and also shared whether she had lost any films during her career.

Without revealing the name of the actor, Shama recalled doing a jewellery AD shoot, when her male co-star suddenly improvised the script. The actor changed it and said that after putting jewellery on his wife (Shama), he would twirl and hug her. However, according to Shama, when he did so, she felt uncomfortable, a feeling which she had never sensed before.
Moreover, the gorgeous actress added that she has many male friends who also hug her at occasions, but she never felt such uneasiness. Although Shama didn’t reveal the name, she hinted that he was a superstar and vowed never to work with him again. In her words:
“I have worked with so many people, I have many guy friends, and they have never made me feel that way. It was very shocking and weird for me. I said that man was a superstar why does he have to pull such a stunt? It was a very shocking incident in my life. I had met that person for the first time and he had an attitude, something didn’t seem normal. Mai khud zindagi mein unke saath kaam nahi karungi.”
Shama Sikander was further asked whether she had encountered any more casting couch incidents. To this, the actress replied that she had been dropped out of a major film. She explained that she was already on the set and doing makeup when the team told her that the shoot had been cancelled. They said that the actor couldn’t come so she could go. However, Shama waited for several hours before leaving.

She added that she was young back then, so she couldn’t understand a lot of things. However, now that she recalls the incident, she understood that the team was indirectly conveying many things. In her words:
“They were trying very hard to tell me a lot of things indirectly. Back then I didn’t understand as I was a child. They forced me to leave and as I left the director was guilty and he apologised. He then revealed that they had cast another heroine. I was shocked and cried all night, but my dad consoled me.”
