One of the cutest couples of the entertainment industry, Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty, are leading all the headlines at the moment with their every public appearance, as people are in awe of this madly in love couple. Now, in her latest interview, Shamita opened up about the future of her relationship with Raqesh and also addressed the possibility of them getting married this year.
Shamita Shetty had turned a year older on February 2, 2022, and on her special day, her boyfriend, Raqesh Bapat had shared a series of romantic pictures with her. In the picture, Raqesh could be seen holding Shamita in his arms, who had looked absolutely stunning in a metallic dress. Along with the pictures, Raqesh had penned a lovely note for his girlfriend, and it could be read as:
"Happy Birthday love @shamitashetty_official."

In an interview with ETimes, Shamita Shetty opened up about her actor-boyfriend, Raqesh Bapat and the possibilities of them getting married in 2022. The third runner-up of Bigg Boss 15 also stated that during the nationwide lockdown she had realised the importance of having a partner. Shamita also talked about her wedding plans with her beau, Raqesh and added that she would like to settle down at this point in time and also shared her urge to have babies. She said:
"I was sending positive energies to the universe while I was inside the BB 15 house because I believe in manifesting things. It is an affirmation that I am getting married this year so the universe has to make sure that I get married this year. During COVID I really realised that I was alone and the loneliness got to me.I definitely missed having a partner. I am happy that I've one right now. Let's see where that goes but yes I would like to settle down, work and also have my babies. There's a lot that I want to do."
Going further in the interview, Shamita Shetty also opened up about doubting her relationship with her boyfriend, Raqesh Bapat, during her time inside the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 15. The actress explained that she was confused about whether Raqesh was still her boyfriend or not because there was no communication between them for 3-4 months. Shamita also added that if Raqesh had moved on in his life, she wouldn't have blamed him. Revealing the reason behind it, Shamita stated:

"I was away from Raqesh for such a long time in that house that I would sometimes think that is he still my boyfriend? I would think 3/4 months is such a longtime and a lot of things change. That's the reason I would often ask everyone is Raqesh still my boyfriend or has he moved on because I really had no idea. And if he had moved on also I wouldn't have blamed him because main itne time ke liye usse alag thi and that too without any communication."

At the end of the interview, Shamita Shetty was asked how even after 3-4 months of zero communication, she and Raqesh Bapat were still madly in love with each other. Answering this, the actress credited Raqesh for waiting for her and added that before going inside the Bigg Boss 15 house, they had already formed a concrete bond with each other, and it had proved its mettle when she was inside the BB house. Giving big hopes to their massive fanbase, Shamita said that there's a positive future for her and Raqesh together. She said:
"He had no access to me except the television screen. But the bond was strong enough to have both of us feel the same way. When I came out of the house, he waited for me and we would like to get to know each other well. I met him on a game show and that world is totally different. I want to know him in the outer world and hopefully there's a positive future for both of us together."
