She also stated how back then, an actor and actress would avoid sitting with one another fearing fake rumours. Talking about the same, Shanthi Priya said:
“Female-female they don’t even look at each other. Like now, it’s really nice to see them together, go on holidays and dinners, we never used to do that. There was so much competition, I don’t know what was the reason, why it was like that in my days.”
In the same interview, Shanthi Priya further talked about getting cold vibes from actress Juhi Chawla on the set of Mere Sajna Saath Nibhana. In her words:
“But during Mere Sajna Saath Nibhana, it was cold. I don’t know if she used to look at me like, ‘Oh, she’s South Indian, a new girl’, I don’t know, but that was the energy I used to get (from her). We didn’t interact much, and we didn’t have too many scenes together. Now also, if she sees me, I should remind her, I don’t think she’ll remember (who I am).”

I was nowhere to be found because it was a family situation for me. I was in pain for 2-3 years. The pain used to hit every time I looked at my kids. One was about 10 years old and the other one was about 4.5 years old."
On the work front, Shanthi Priya was last seen in the series, Dharavi Bank.
