As soon as the glimpse of the show's upcoming episode was shared on social media, the netizens took immediate notice of it and began to slam the show. They disliked the idea of a previously established and rather popular actor like Parul Gulati taking part in the show instead of the needy small businessmen and entrepreneurs. Taking to the post's comment section, they began trolling the show's makers for the same. While someone prominently called it a scripted show, others highlighted the favouritism of the makers to incorporate big names like Parul to increase the TRP of the show.

A few months back, on January 16, 2023, a LinkedIn user, Ankit Uttam, shared a lengthy report highlighting the drawback of the show for inviting judges who have faced huge losses in their companies. Elaborating on how he never liked the Indian counterpart of a prestigious and realistic US show, Ankit penned the exact figures of the losses each of the ‘sharks’ have encountered. However, this move of his was not appreciated, and soon after, he received hate mail from another user and a die-hard fan of the show, who cursed him for his blatant display of nonsensical facts.
Well, certainly not all parts of the show are scripted and dramatic, and we saw a glimpse of the same when one of their esteemed judges, Namita Thapar recollected her experience of being body-shamed. Namita, the owner of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, opened up in an episode of the show about how she got badly body-shamed in her teenage years and people often called her moti.
