Namita Thapar is one of the leading entrepreneurs in India. She is the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals. But ever since she started gracing the business reality show Shark Tank India as a judge-cum-investor, she has gained immense stardom amongst the masses. Her one-liners on the show, including 'This is not my expertise, so I'm out', became immensely popular, and people also started a meme fest with them. Now, Namita is on cloud nine. She made her Cannes debut in 2024 and looked gorgeous as ever.
On the second day of the Cannes Film Festival in 2024, Namita Thapar made her stunning debut on the red carpet. Soon after attending the program, she took to her IG handle and shared an array of pictures from the event. For the event, she wore a powder blue-hued off-shoulder dress designed by Lebanese designer, Elio Abou Fayssal. Her dress featured a corset waist, a long trail, and puffed-up sleeves. Donning it, Namita looked every bit gorgeous.

Namita completed her Cannes debut look with exquisite diamond jewellery, including a statement neckpiece, matching stud earrings, and a huge ring. A glam touch of makeup, including blushed and highlighted cheeks, glittery eyeshadow, thin strokes of eyeliner, defined brows, and red lipstick, completed her look. Lastly, she kept her hair tied in a French bun adorned with embellished clips and kept a few strands loose at the front.

Namita is one such entrepreneur who never misses her chance to open up about various issues surrounding her. For instance, in one of the episodes of the show, Shark Tank India, she talked about dealing with IVF and infertility issues. Afterwards, take to her IG handle, on Mother's Day, she shared the clip, and was heard raising her voice for the women going through similar struggles. Namita revealed undergoing the IVF treatment twice in her life and also talked about the pain a woman has to go through during that time. She further mentioned how she kept a mum about the same for twelve long years and finally got the courage to open up about the same. She was heard saying:
"Do infertility treatments I have gone through aur wo jo 25 injections hotey hai har treatment mein, wo jo physical emotional trauma hota hai, you will litrellay those taboos of crossing your legs, paer upar rakho matlb sab stupid cheejein aap karte hai. Iske baarein main 12 saal tak bol nhi payi. Kyun? Isme kya sharm ki baat hai? This is something which we should all talk about. Infertility is on the rise. Bahut mahilaye maa asani se nhi bann paa rhi hai, we need to get educated about this. Let's not judge. Let's not shame. Let's support. Let's break the taboos. Let's help more women become mothers."

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Namita also talked about her challenges since she belonged to an affluent family. The successful businesswoman mentioned how kids from these families are called upon as 'nepo-kids'. However, casting her example, she mentioned that these children also used to have a fair share of struggles. She mentioned that her company's net worth has risen since her joining. She shared that when she joined Emcure, they were worth Rs. 500 crore. But, due to her hard work and diligence, her company stands at Rs. 8000 crore. Lastly, she mentioned that to take it to that level as a group, the second and third generations also need to have an entrepreneurial mindset.
