Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi could be safely tagged as one of the most adorable couples of their time. Sharmila and Tiger got married back in 1968 after a few years of dating one another. However, in a recent interview, Sharmila revealed an unheard anecdote about her and Tiger's marriage contract, and it's all things adorable.
In a conversation with the lawyer and politician, Kapil Sibal, Sharmila Tagore shared how the industry has been evolving and how, in today's time, a small movie can attract a great audience if it has a good plot. Kapil brought the example of IPL to this. Sharmila laughed it off and mentioned that she doesn't think herself to be qualified to talk about cricket. The veteran actress jokingly added that it was even a part of her marriage contract that she would never discuss about cricket. Sharmila can be quoted as saying:

"I don’t think I’m qualified to talk about cricket. It was a part of my nikaahnama that you will not discuss cricket ever.”

In an interview on Twinkle Khanna’s chat show for the Tweak India channel, The Icons, Sharmila Tagore talked in detail about her dating period with Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. The actress said that she met the late cricketer at a party in Kolkata. Sharmila added that they exchanged phone numbers at that party.
Talking about how their conversation began, the actress shared that once when she was staying at her friend's apartment in Mumbai, she received a weird phone call about winning five fridges. She said that she was confused, and when she called back, she found out that it was none other than, Tiger. Sharmila stated that it was when Tiger asked her for a coffee date for the first time.

Getting married to someone out of religion has always been a topic of discussion among people, and a couple of different religious beliefs has to face the brunt of trolls. And Sharmila and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi were no exception. Talking about the same on Twinkle Khanna's show, Sharmila stated that her family received some threatening words like 'Bullet shall speak.' The actress also mentioned that her wedding with Tiger was first fixed at Fort William, but that too had been cancelled as the baraat had an army connection. And later, they had to get married at some Ambassador friend’s big house.

Sharmila Tagore stepped into the acting world in her teens, with the movie, Apur Sangsar. After being a part of several Bengali movies, she stepped into Bollywood back in 1964. Last year, the actress played an amazing role in the movie, Gulmohar. Her role as a gay character received much love from the audience. As per reports, the actress will be seen in the Bengali movie, Puratawn.
