Shatrughan Sinha is one of the much-loved actors in Bollywood, whose acting skills never skip a chance to win the hearts of his fans. Moreover, it was his personal life, that too grabbed a whole lot of attention. It was at that time when Shatrughan was at the peak of his career, that he was involved in two serious relationships. Well, Shatrughan finally chose Poonam Chandiramani, over ex-lady love, Reena Roy, and they got married.
Shatrughan Sinha got married to Poonam in 1980, and they have three kids. Well, after his marriage with Poonam, a buzz about the actor's extramarital affair with Reena Roy made rounds on social media. And recently, Shatrughan accepted two-timing Poonam with Reena. In an interview with Lehren Retro, Shatrughan was asked about accepting two-timing in his marriage. The actor stated that many people asked him if he was keeping his two legs on two boats, but he kept his legs on several boats. The actor further shared that he has no grudges against anyone and is grateful to all women who were a part of his life. In the interview, Shatrughan stated:
"I wouldn’t take names. But, I am grateful to all the women who were part of my life. I don’t have any grudges against anybody. I never think ill of them. They have all helped me grow and become a better person.”
Going further in the interview, Shatrughan Sinha accepted making mistakes in his life. The actor added that he's a natural boy who came from Patna and was flown away by the glitz and glamour of the industry, as he didn't know how to deal with stardom. He further credited his wife, Poonam as she helped him a lot. Shatrughan further remarked on being guilty of two-timing in his marriage. The actor said that when a man with a good heart has two serious relationships simultaneously, he suffers in terms of mental and physical health. He added that when that person is with his wife, he feels bad for his lady love and vice versa. In Shatrughan's words:
"When a man is good at heart, and he is having two committed relationships simultaneously, he too suffers a lot in terms of his mental and physical health. You also feel guilty. When you are out with your lover, you feel guilty for your wife at home and when you are with your wife, you feel bad for your lover: Usko khilona banake kyu rakha hai?’.”
Shartughan Sinha met Poonam on a train, and he was moved by her beauty. Well, the actor saw Poonam crying for some reason, and he ended up writing the reason for it on a magazine paper and handed it to her. Moreover, Poonam was not at all impressed by this move. After this, the duo became friends on the sets, courtesy of their same career field.
Moreover, in 1976, Shatrughan met Reena on the set of Kalicharan, wherein he fell in love with her. As per reports, the actor was in two relationships simultaneously. Shatrughan and Reena were in a relationship for seven years. They were so much in love that people thought that the duo would end up marrying each other. Well, destiny has other plans as Shatrughan got married to Poonam.
