Shatrughan Sinha always considered his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha, as his pride. The veteran actor-turned-politician always portrayed a strong personality on the silver screen. His dialogue, 'Khamosh', still echoes first in the mind whenever we hear his name. However, his daughter, Sonakshi, took forward his legacy by showing off her bebak style. While Shatrughan always supported his daughter in all her decisions, some reports claimed he wasn't happy with her getting married to Zaheer Iqbal in an interfaith marriage. But 'papa Sinha' proved to the world that his daughter is his princess and she can have everything in the world.

It is the sweet truth of being a girl daddy, and Shatrughan Sinha also happily gave a 'yes' to Sonakshi's wedding with Zaheer. After the intimate wedding and reception party, Shatrughan Sinha finally shared photos and unseen videos from Sonakshi's wedding. Sharing a heartfelt note, Shatrughan Sinha wrote:

"With an attitude of gratitude we would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us on our special day seems to be the 'wedding of the century' with your warmth, love, congratulatory messages for our darling daughter #SonakshiSinha with #ZaheerIqbal as they start a new chapter in their beautiful journey of their lives."

Shatrughan Sinha shared a video of Hindu rituals from Sonakshi's wedding

In the first video, we can see Shatrughan Sinha, his wife, Poonam Sinha, bride, Sonakshi Sinha and groom, Zaheer Sinha sitting in the living room. Everyone had joined their hands as pandit ji recited some mantras.  The Hindu ritual looked like a quick kanyadan. For those who don't know, in Hindus, Kanyadan is considered the biggest daan (charity) as it takes a lot of strength to give away your child. While no confirmation is given about the ritual, netizens are speculating it to be as a modern kanyadan.

When Shatrughan Sinha reacted to protests in Bihar after Sonakshi got married to Zaheer

After Sonakshi got married to Zaheer, people protested while some trolled them online. However, let us inform you that neither Sonakshi converted her religion nor Zaheer changed his religious beliefs. They got married in a registered wedding. Talking about silencing the protestors, Shatrughan Sinha quoted Anand Bakshi's lines, 'Kuch toh log kahege logo ka kaam hai kehna.' And stated that his daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional in an interview with Times Now. Not only this, Shatrughan Sinha also stated that marriage is a person's decision, and no one has the right to interfere or comment.  

Earlier, in an interview with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha stated that he was eagerly waiting for his daughter to get married. He added that Sonakshi looks the happiest with Zaheer, and he prays their love stays forever. He also gave reference to his own love story and stated that he had married the most beautiful girl, Poonam Sinha, 44 years ago, and now it is his daughter, Sonakshi's turn to marry the boy of her choice.
