Punjabi actress, Shehnaaz Gill, who is trying to mark her footprints in B-town, has resumed work after the shocking demise of her rumoured boyfriend and best friend, Sidharth Shukla. We had seen Shehnaaz breaking down into tears at the Oshiwara crematorium on seeing the mortal remains of her beloved. Though Sidharth's void in her life can be filled by none, the Bigg Boss 13 fame contestant is trying her best to bounce back to life.
For the unversed, it was inside the Bigg Boss 13 house, that Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill had bonded pretty well and had created a separate fanbase outside, who referred to them as 'SidNaaz'. While Shehnaaz's love was quite evident, Sidharth had always maintained the stance that she was a good friend. After the show, the duo was reported to be dating each other, and even wedding rumours were rife. However, they had remained tight-lipped about it.

During the promotions of her upcoming film, Honsla Rakh, Shehnaaz Gill could not help but remember the late actor, Sidharth Shukla. While she, along with her co-stars, Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa, were talking about each other's shortcomings, Diljit made fun of Shehnaaz and said that during the shooting, he felt that he was inside the Bigg Boss house. In her reply, Shehnaaz said, ''This is why I was the queen, I was the heroine of Bigg Boss 13."
After Shehnaaz Gill called herself the heroine of Bigg Boss 13, Sonam Bajwa disagreed with her and expressed her opinion that she was rather the hero. However, Shehnaaz was quick to reply that the hero was someone else and said, ''I was the heroine of Bigg Boss, hero koi aur tha.'' Though Shehnaaz did not take any name, we all know that her hero inside the house was none other than Sidharth Shukla.

When the actress was asked how much she resembles the mother's character, which she essayed in her film, Honsla Rakh. To this, the once-bubbly girl had instantly replied saying, ''40 per cent.''
Going further in the interview, Shehnaaz had explained the reason behind it and had said, "Ab hum kisiko bhi pyaar karte hai, toh uske saath jo attachment hoti hai, toh woh attachment ke accordingly, maine woh ratio nikali. Pyaar jo hai na. Matlab Maa ka jo pyaar hota hai na, woh Maa ko hi pata hai. Aur main Maa wala feel kar sakti hun. Kyunki, meri mummy mujhe kitna pyaar karti hai."
