Kangana Ranaut, the newly-elected MP of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, got embroiled in controversy recently, after she was attacked by a CISF personnel at the Chandigarh airport. Reportedly, the female CISF staff slapped the actress shockingly. Later on, through a social media post, Kangana clarified that the CISF personnel attacked her on the grounds of not supporting the farmer’s protest in Punjab. For the unversed, latter has already been suspended and an inquiry has been issued against her.
After Kangana Ranaut called out the film fraternity for allegedly showcasing no support to her being personally attacked, in a recent media interaction, the actress’ ex-beau, Adhyayan Suman and his father, Shekhar Suman extended support to her. Condemning the incident, Shekhar called out the unfortunate incident as something illegal. Adhyayan agreed to the same and Shekhar further expressed how the security chief must be duly punished for such extreme kind of violent behaviour. In his words:

“Ye bahut hi durbhagyapurn hai aur aisa kisi ke sath nahi hona chahiye. Ye gair kanooni hai jo unhone kiya hai. Iski saza unko milni chahiye. Main samajh sakta hu ki unke mann mein koi virodh tha ya koi shikayat thi lekin usko izhaar karne ka tarika bahut galat tha. Ek sabhya tarike se bhi wo kaha jaa sakta tha. Aagey aa kar wo shayad gusse mein bhi baat kahi jaa sakti thi par iss tarha se aap kisi par hath nahi utha sakte.”

While internet has already been filled with tons of glimpses from the moment at the Chandigarh airport when Kangana Ranaut got slapped, it was later, through an IG live video that the actress and elected parliamentarian stated facts and revealed what actually went wrong. While she assured of her safety and the fact that she was unharmed, Kangana mentioned that the incident took place in the security check area of the airport, where the CISF official not only slapped her, but also abused her. She expressed:
“Namaste doston, mujhe bohot zyada phone calls aa rahe hai, media ke bhi aur mere shubhchintakon ke bhi. Sabse pehle toh I am safe, I am perfectly fine. Aaj Chandigarh airport par jo haadsa hua wo security check ke saath mein hua. Wahan pe main security check kar ke jaise hi nikli toh dusre cabin mein jo mahila thi, jo suraksha karamchari thi, CISF ki, unhone unko cross karne ka intezaar kiya aur side se aa kar mujhe face pe hit kiya aur gaaliyan dene lagi. Aur jab maine unko pucha ki unhone aisa kyu kiya toh unhone kaha ki wo farmer's protest ko jo hai support karti hai aur I am safe but my concern is ke jo aantakwaad ugrawaad hai Punjab mein badh raha hai, how do we handle that?"
Back on May 7, 2024, Shekhar Suman joined politics and enlisted his name under the Bharatiya Janta Party. Right after his initiation, during a press meet, the filmmaker-turned-actor was asked if he would showcase support to his son, Adhyayan’s ex-ladylove, Kangana Ranaut, who was also a part of the same party. To this, Shekhar revealed that he would be happy to be of help and support Kangana, whenever she requires it.

Previously, in an interaction with IANS, Adhyayan Suman talked about his ex-GF, Kangana Ranaut and praised her for the tremendous strides that she has taken in her career, both in the arenas of films and politics. He said:
“As far as Kangana Ranaut and her life is concerned, and her political career is concerned, I think she has done really well in her career as an actor, and I wish her all the very best for her political career as well.
