Shiloh Jolie was seen by the media browsing and buying items at a farmer's market in Los Angeles. The 20-year-old wore a simple hoodie, but her lip ring made her resemblance to her mother stand out. It reminded fans of Angelina's distinctive look at the premiere of her Marvel film, Eternals, in 2021. For that outing, the actress had worn a similar but longer lip-to-chin cuff.
Angelina has long been known for experimenting with bold fashion choices. Now, Shiloh's latest look has also drawn comparisons to her mother's personal style. The actress earlier sat down for an interview with L'Officiel USA and admitted that she allowed her children to develop their own identities. She explained that her kids are individuals who know her well. So, they understand the different sides of her personality. At the same time, not getting in her children's way was important to her as a parent.
For those who don't know, Shiloh is the first of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six children to take formal steps to remove 'Pitt' surname. On her 18th birthday in May 2024, she filed a petition to change her name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie. She reportedly also hired a lawyer to handle all the legal process.
In fact, Shiloh's siblings have also distanced themselves from the Jolie-Pitt surname in different ways. Zahara had publicly introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie. Vivienne was also credited as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders, which she worked on with her mother.
Maddox has also been reported to use the name Maddox Jolie. Pax and Knox, however, have not been reported to have made the same legal changes. These different decisions show how the siblings have decided to manage their family relationships and public identities differently.
The estrangement has reportedly extended beyond their surnames. According to reports in October 2026, many of the children have changed their phone number. In turn, it has become more difficult for their father to contact them directly. According to an insider cited by the Daily Mail, Brad Pitt hopes to rebuild his relationship with his children. However, the adult children's reported decisions leaves limited ways to contact them, making the reconciliation difficult.
Meanwhile, the Jolie-Pitt family's relationship has been under public scrutiny after Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in September 2016. Since then, the former couples's custody dispute and legal disagreements over their French winery have received a lot of public attention. However, their youngest kids, twins Knox and Vivienne, turned 18 in 2026, which changed the custody situation.
Why are Brad Pitt and his children estranged?
The conflict between Brad Pitt and his children goes back to an alleged incident in September 2016. During that time, the family was flying by a private plane from France to Los Angeles. Angelina later alleged that Brad physically and verbally abused her during the flight in the court filings. The actor denied the allegations of abuse. Later, the FBI also investigated the case before they closed it without filing any charges.
The actress filed for divorce days after the flight incident. The separation was followed by several years of legal conflict. Later, Brad acknowledged that he was struggling with alcohol use after the separation and discussed his recovery during an interview. However, his family members have not publicly explained their decisions.
