Shilpa Saklani left a special space in the hearts of Indian audiences with her stint in the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi as 'Ganga'. While her show gave her overnight success, she also found the love of her life in showbiz, Apurva Agnihotri, who was her first crush when she saw Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayege. Yes, instead of falling in love with Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa fell in love with Apurva. At the age of 21, Shilpa got married to Apurva. However, their lives looked incomplete as they wanted to have a child, and tried for eighteen years, and then one day, God blessed them with a daughter, proving that miracles do happen.
Recently, Shilpa Saklani was invited to Rubina Dilaik's talk show, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi, wherein she revealed that from a young age, she wanted to get married. She had even told her parents that at the age of 21, she would get married, and was sure that after four years she would have a child, that too, a daughter, and every day she prayed for a daughter. Shilpa called it karma that the joy came to her after eighteen years. While describing her motherhood journey, she said:
"There was a very short period, which was a very dark period, ki hum itna try kar chuke the but nothing was happening."

However, Shilpa, who believes in God, was sure that one day she would be blessed with a child, as she received everything in life as a blessing. She added that her husband's Xerox copy would come to her life. Shilpa stated that she gets overwhelmed every time she sees her daughter.
On September 1, 2023, Shilpa and Apurva shared a glimpse of their life on their YouTube Channel. In the video, Apurva revealed that Shilpa got conjunctivitis and she would be sleeping in a different room while he would be sleeping with their daughter Ishaani in a separate room. Shilpa tried to show off her brave face, but further in the video, when Ishaani tried to crawl to her, she lost her calm.

Shilpa was seen crying inconsolably as Ishaani was running towards her mommy to hug her, but due to the infection, the actress wasn't able to hold her in her arms.
