The excerpt appears to be from the same book that often inspires her. It begins with a quote by Sophia Loren, which reads, "Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life."
The excerpt can be further read as "We can't make our lives interesting without making a few mistakes here and there. We hope that they won't be dangerous mistakes or mistakes that hurt other people. But there will be mistakes. We can see our mistakes as things we'd like to forget or as our most interesting, challenging and stimulating experiences. Not because of the mistakes themselves but because of what we learned from them."

On August 26, 2021, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had shared another excerpt from the book that had highlighted the value of not slowing down or pausing due to life's hardships. Her cryptic post had suggested that no matter how the time is, it should be lived to the fullest because once it's gone, it won't come back. Shilpa had put a 'Live every moment' sticker atop it.
The cryptic post had begun with a quote by Simone De Beauvoir, which could be read as "Live with no time out." The excerpt could be further read as "We cannot press the’ pause ‘button in our lives. Every day counts whether we are doing our best or the worst. But if our life becomes extremely stressful and tense, can we really time out? No matter what, the clock of our life is always running. The only thing we really have is time. So it is better to live every moment instead of losing that time forever."
