Shilpa Shetty is one of the most talented actors of her generation in Bollywood. Being a complete outsider to the film fraternity, the diva carved her own niche and has positioned herself at the top of the ladder with her impeccable performances. Not just her unmissable acting chops, Shilpa has mesmerised audiences with her perfectly enviable physique and gorgeous beauty, which becomes the talk of the town often.
An actor’s profession is always dicey, and it always rests on a balance between good and bad. Speaking along the same lines, Shilpa Shetty, in an interview with Pinkvilla, revealed witnessing the vivid highs and lows in her career. She mentioned the best phase of her career that she has witnessed since. In her words:
“Itne utar chadhav dekhe hain maine. I think I’ve seen the highs, I’ve seen the lows, and every phase comes with teaching you something. I think and believe that this is the best phase of my life as an actor. I’ve learnt so much. I’ve done diametrically different roles. I’ve had the courage to pick up the roles.”

Continuing in the conversation, Shilpa Shetty then walked down the memory lanes back to the 90s, when she, barely a 17-year-old girl had to navigate her life in as competitive a field as cinema. The diva remarked working ceaselessly all the while, so that she was able to achieve bare necessities and fulfil her dreams to buy her own house and a car. She mentioned:
“I think the first 20 years of my career just went in working without putting that much thought. We came from the 90s. I was working because I wanted to buy my first car, I wanted to move into a bigger house, came from a middle-class family and for a 17-year-old when you start out those things, the perspective is very different.”
For the unversed, Shilpa Shetty has collaborated with eminent filmmaker, Rohit Shetty and is a part of the next cop universe franchise film, Indian Police Force. For the unversed, the film also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles. Speaking about her role in the upcoming movie, the diva remarked how it is the first time that she is playing a cop. Moreover, she conveyed her son, Viaan’s reaction to the same and mentioned:
“Mumma, I don’t care how you have to do it and I really mean this and it was really that made me realize what it means because he caters to that audience – kids love his movies, masses love his movies. If you are able to cater to that audience, you’ve hit a home run. So that was one of the reasons that I wanted to play this part and then uspe to sone pe suhaga tha mere liye when I heard the character, it was Tara Shetty.”
