All of us have some special people in our lives, who no matter what, never give up on us. Even when we loose hope on ourselves, they are always there to motivate us. They can be either our friends or family, but for us they always our pillar of strength. And for actress, Shilpa Shetty, her support system is none other than her mother, Sunanda Shetty and sister, Shamita Shetty, who have always believed in her potential and cheered the loudest during all her achievements. Often tagged as yummy mummy, fitness enthusiast and many more adjectives, Shilpa Shetty is an epitome of grace, poise and beauty. In an industry of Bollywood biggies and the so-called movie mafias, Shilpa not only made a name for herself without a Godfather but has also managed to maintain her fame. From her debut film, Baazigar opposite Shah Rukh Khan to movies like, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Pardesi Babu, Dhadkan, Phir Milenge, Life In A Metro, Shilpa has some tremendous work to her credit. And throughout the ups and lows of her life, her forever constants have been her mother and sister.
On July 23, 2020, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram handle and shared an appreciation note for her ‘OG constants’, Sunanda Shetty and Shamita Shetty. Sharing stills from her childhood days and recent times, Shilpa wrote, “#AppreciationPost Same pose... just another day. There’s so much that we see changing every day. Professionally... personally... physically... emotionally...! But, even amid all these changes, we still crave for that one set of constant people in our lives who stand by us, encourage us, cheer the loudest, and make us feel special in times when we don’t value ourselves. Just want to say that I’m really grateful for my ‘OG constants’ @sunandashetty10 & @shamitashetty_official for being who you have been to me. Love you both!
Well, we all know that Shilpa shares immense love for her mother, Sunanda Shetty. Time and again, she has showered praises on her mother in numerous interviews and Instagram posts. However, not a lot of people are aware of the story that Sunanda Shetty had gone through a lot of tricky circumstances during the birth of her daughter, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. During one of the episodes of the dance reality show, Super Dancer, while watching a 9-year-old boy, Dev Varshney’s performance, Shilpa had revealed a shocking truth about her birth. Shilpa had said that when she was about to enter the world, doctors had said that she would not be able to see the light of the day. Further, sharing the details, Shilpa had also revealed that the doctors had informed her mother that even if the baby (Shilpa) was born, it would not be normal. At that time, it was her mom, Sunanda Shetty who had faced one of the toughest decisions of her life, whether or not to go ahead with her birth, which could have altered Shilpa’s life altogether. Here’s what Shilpa had remarked, “When my mom was pregnant with me, the doctors had said I will not survive since my mother was bleeding continuously for six months. They also said that the child will not be born normal. But the mother decided that she would go ahead with giving me birth. I believe that my mom was so firm about her decision because she had the faith that she would give birth to her baby, despite what the doctors said. She believed if I survive this, I will be a born survivor.”
