On March 9, 2019, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta had exchanged the wedding vows and it is by far the biggest wedding of this year. They were childhood sweethearts and had studied in the same school. However, after completing their schooling, they started dating each other. In the year 2018, Akash had officially popped the question to Shloka in Goa. The proposal was followed by a grand engagement bash and a number of high-profile events.
Coming back to Shloka's fashion sense, the Ambani bahu believes in keeping it simple yet striking and there isn't any designer ensemble that she cannot carry with an ace. Recently, we got hold of her picture from the year 2015, and oh boy, we are loving her style. In the picture, we can see Shloka Mehta with her sister, Diya Mehta Jatia and their close friend posing with the designer, Manish Malhotra. All the gorgeous ladies looked beautiful in Manish's couture. Take a look at the picture below:
For the lesser-knowns, Shloka Mehta is the daughter of a diamantaire, Russell Mehta. However, being a diamond heiress, she never had any interest in her father's empire. In an interview, she had talked about the same and had said, "I’ve never had an interest in business. I think the diamond industry is not very friendly to women. It’s changing but most women typically become jewellery designers or they work in human resources...those kinds of roles. I don’t think that I have the creative aesthetic sense to be a designer." She had further talked about working for social welfare and had shared, "From my experience, I had recognised that funding is a huge limitation and often your role in an NGO can be chasing grants. I wanted to be on the other side, giving grants, understand what things a grantmaker looks at, and how they decide which NGO to give."

Akash and Shloka's wedding was celebrated as a grand festival, and it was the mother of the groom, who couldn't control her happy tears. Nita ji bestowed a lovely gift to the newly married in the form of a poem that could be read as, "They went to Kindergarten to learn ABC, Not knowing — que sera sera — What their future would be…Gummy bears and jujubes, Sparkle pops and jelly beans… Sweetened their lives, From childhood through teens! Till glasses of milk made way for cups of tea… And the Sky fell in love with sweet Chants of glee! From ponytails and Barbies… From pranks and football… The years just blended… And, today they stand tall – With their eyes full of love With one single plea… Their hearts beat in rhythm Singing, “Will you marry me?” Today we bless them, and today we pray: All through their lives, on each golden day, May they always be there holding hands side by side May Gods shower their blessings on this groom and his bride!"
