It was on October 30, 2018, when Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik had embraced parenthood and had welcomed ‘Baby Mirza Malik’ into their lives. A few months before delivering her firstborn, Sania had attended the UN Women India's launch of #MujheHaqHai campaign event, wherein she had revealed that their child won’t just take his/her father’s family name (i.e. Malik) forward but will have ‘Mirza Malik’ as the surname. Izhaan’s pictures are a visual treat and just like his parents, the little munchkin too enjoys a huge fan following.
Izhaan Mirza Malik is having a gala time in Dubai with his parents Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza and the doting parents have been sharing glimpses of their little boy. On December 22, 2020, Shoaib took to his IG stories and shared an adorable picture with his baby boy, Izhaan from one of their outings. Dressed in a white t-shirt and denims, Izhaan looked adorable in his abba’s arms. Sharing the cute father-son moment, Shoaib wrote, “Hanging out with my favourite little boy!” atop it.
The first time, Shoaib Malik and his star wife, Sania Mirza had announced the news of their pregnancy in their own unique way, we all were curious about the baby’s surname, which comprised of both of the parent’s surname, ‘Mirza Malik’. Speaking about the same in a 2018 interview with Gulf News, the star cricketer was quoted as saying, “We discussed this in the beginning and we both came up with it together. It’s not a move, but a statement. My family history and my family name comes with a lot of honour, which I celebrate with pride. It should be the same for Sania. Being a husband or a wife or a mother or a father should not change that for either. Having a shared surname is in line with how we went about when we got married: Sania Mirza remained Sania Mirza and was not changed to Sania Malik.” (Also Read: New Mom, Puja Banerjee Turns Her 9 Weeks Old Son, Krishiv Into A Santa Claus Ahead Of Christmas)
