The coronavirus pandemic has made the entire country lockdown for another 21 days (April14, 2020) in order to stop the wicked chain of this virus. While some parts of the country are celebrating Navratri amid COVID-19, Maharashtra, the state most affected by the pandemic, is observing their one of most favorite festivals, Gudi Padwa.
Gudi Padwa is a popular Marathi festival which marks the beginning of the New Year and the harvest season. For some it is the day when Hindu god, Brahma created time and universe, while for others, it is a festival to celebrate the crowing of lord Rama post his return to Ayodhya after completing 14 years of exile. Being a prevalent festival in Maharashtra, many B-town and Tellywood celebrities celebrate this festival with all the zest. Shraddha Kapoor, who celebrates Gudi Padwa every year, wished her fans using her social media handle. Along with the picture, she penned a Marathi note and talked about the importance of dressing up in a saree on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. For the uninitiated, Shakti Kapoor had a runaway marriage with Shivangi Kohlapure in the year 1982. The Baaghi 3 actress had talked about her parents and their love story, in an interview with The Times of India and had shared, "My father Shakti Kapoor is a Punjabi and my mother Shivangi (nee Kolhapure) is a Maharashtrian. My father has acted in over 700 films. My mother acted in one film, Kismat with Mithun Chakraborty, in which my father also had a role. My father fell in love with her and would drive her around in his sports car and they subsequently got married. My mom is the most beautiful woman and I think she has taken some serum to look young all her life."
In other news, ever since the outbreak of coronavirus in our country, the B-town stars have locked themselves down in their homes and have been sharing about their routine with their fans through their social media handles.
