We are living in the difficult times of COVID-19 outbreak in the world. Our lives have abruptly come to a pause because of the highly contagious virus. While some may find it challenging to sit at home, it is a lot better than to be on a hospital bed. The entire world is at war, and we are the soldiers who are fighting with the virus. We have to not only stay safe, but we have also to keep our families and friends safe. It was on January 30, 2020, when the Novel Coronavirus got declared as a Public Health Emergency of International level. Within no time, the virus has spread all over the world and people are fighting to stay away from it. Many celebrities in India were tested positive for COVID-19, and Shrenu Parikh of Ishqbaaaz fame is one of them, and she had gotten hospitalised for the same. However, a couple of days ago, she was discharged from the hospital and is now quarantining at home. Recently, the actress bared her heart our on her fight with coronavirus.
In an interview with The Times of India, Shrenu revealed how she stayed strong for her family while sharing her COVID-19 positive result. She said, "On July 10 morning, I got a call from my doctor, who informed that I had tested positive. After the doctor's call, I just went numb, and the realisation didn't sink in for a few hours. But I needed to be brave. I called my mom from inside my room, who was at the kitchen, and urged her not to panic. She also didn't know how to react! My parents immediately informed about the development at their respective workplaces and we also informed our maids, asking them not to come. I was asked to take my stuff and visit a COVID hospital." Shrenu further added that there were times when she broked down but never in front of her family, "At the hospital, there were no beds available, and it broke my heart to see so many people having to go back. I was told that if I wanted to get admitted, I needed to go to the general ward. I agreed because getting treated ASAP was more important than anything else. After getting admitted, when my brother left, that's when I faced the reality. It is during times like these that your willpower steps in. I broke down on a couple of occasions, but never in front of the family."
A couple of days ago, Shrenu had shared a picture with her doctor on her Instagram handle. Alongside it, she had written a long note, which can be read as "My Dearest extended family, friends n my well wishers! I just don't know how to thank you all for showering so much love n blessings. By the grace of God n ur prayers I m recovering very well and have been discharged from the hospital. Right now in total isolation at my home. I wish I could reply to all of you personally...so much to share... but all in good time... I love you all so much. May Almighty bless u all n keep u all safe n sound.PS forever grateful to the medical staff and the corona warriors at the hospital for keeping me sane and taking care of me for a week!"
