Recently, a video of Shweta Bachchan Nanda from Simi Garewal's show had made rounds on the discussion platform, Reddit. In the clip, Simi was joined by Abhishek Bachchan and their parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Simi, in the video, asked Shweta if she knew from the beginning that she would get married to Nikhil Nanda. Shweta replied with a 'yes'. On being asked where she met Nikhil first, Shweta revealed that they met through their mutual family friends, Abu Jain and Sandeep Khosla. Shweta further shared that after their family thought that she and Nikhil should meet, they did the same. Shweta and Nikhil met, had a chat and they clicked instantly.

Shweta was on vacation from college and Nikhil was in Bombay for a wedding, and that's how they met. When Simi asked if they ever dated, Shweta stated that she never went on a date with Nikhil, and rather knew him for 10 days before he proposed to her. Simi further questioned if Shweta said 'yes' to Nikhil's proposal instantly. She replied that she took five minutes to say 'yes' to Nikhil's proposal. She went on to reveal that their families were all together at New Year's celebration, and it was Nikhil, who decided that he would ask Shweta himself. Well, after two months, the couple got married.

In the same video, Shweta Bachchan shared that on the day Amitabh Bachchan accepted the idea that his daughter was about to get married, there was no one more enthusiastic and involved than him. Big B later seemed to be a bit emotional and stated that he could see a huge change from Shweta being his daughter to an exceptional wife to Nikhil Nanda. He also added that he hoped that his samdhis and son-in-law Nikhil are happy with Shweta.

While some felt that Shweta looked a bit unhappy, others talked about Amitabh's hope to see Nikhil happy with Shweta, and not the opposite.
