Jaya Bachchan and her daughter, Shweta Bachchan were guests on Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, What The Hell Navya 2. The veteran actor spoke about red flags in a relationship and revealed that she has never addressed her husband, Amitabh Bachchan as ‘tu’ or ‘tum’. Shweta, on the other hand, said that her red flags were about respect and physical and verbal violence. She further added that one shouldn’t drag fights if the other person has already apologised.

In the same episode, Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan talk about modern dating and slammed Gen-Z for their take on relationships. During the conversation, Jaya claimed that the people of Navya's generation are into relationships and said, "Your generation has relationships, and not love." Adding to the same, Shweta quipped:

"They don't want to adjust."

Jaya Bachchan revealed she never addressed her husband, Amitabh Bachchan as 'tum' or 'tu'

In the second episode of Navya's podcast, Jaya Bachchan was asked about the red flags which she thinks destroy a relationship. Responding to the same, she revealed that she hates it when people address another person as 'tu' or 'tum' and called it 'bad manners'. Adding that she never once used 'tum' for her husband, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya said:

"Bad manners for me would be a big red flag. Ek cheez jo mujhe bahut buri lagti jab log 'tum' 'tu' karke baat krte hai chahe kisi se bhi. Aapne kabhi mujhe nana ko 'tum' se baat karte suna hai. Mujhe lagta hai yeh sab cheejo ke liye consciously effort karna chahiye. Jo apke generation ke log nahi karte hai. 'Aap' se 'tum', 'tum' se 'tu', uske baad finished. Toh relationship bhi aise hi hota hai na. Jab tak aap kisi ki izzat nahi karege pyaar nahi hai."

Jaya Bachchan called Shweta Bachchan her strength

In the first episode of Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What The Hell Navya Season 2, the star kid along with her mother, Shweta Bachchan and grandmother, Jaya Bachchan, talked about women in society. During the same, Jaya expressed her love towards her daughter, Shweta and shared that she is her strength more than her son, Abhishek. Revealing the reason behind the same, Jaya said:

"She is my strength. She is, more than my son, she's my strength. I don't know whether that's because she's a woman. But she's my strength."

When the clip from the podcast was shared on Reddit, netizens were shocked to see how Jaya Bachchan was supporting her daughter, Shweta Bachchan. Reacting to the post, one user penned, "Lagta hain Abhishek is bedhakal from all their jaidaad." Another commented, "Because she is a woman she is your strength? What has it to do with her gender, Maybe your son is a loser who didn't achieve even 10 percent of what Aish did and that's why you think she is a strong woman."
