Motherhood is definitely one of the toughest phases for a woman and what if your baby is born amidst a global pandemic. The year 2020 had begun with COVID-19 hitting the globe and the entire year had gone by fighting the deadly virus. Some postponed their wedding, some cancelled their travel plans, but the worst impacted were the expecting mothers. Not only, they gave birth to warriors amidst the pandemic, but also proved that hope can win over everything. One such COVID mom is singer, Shweta Pandit, who, in her latest post, gave us an insight of giving birth during the time of the pandemic. A known voice in the glamour world, Shweta Pandit had started singing at the tender age of 4 when she had worked with the legend, Ilayaraja for the award-winning film, Anjali. She had gotten her big break with Yash Raj Films when she had bagged five songs in Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein at the age of 14. Her sensational song, Pairon Me Bandhan Hai is still one of the most popular tracks. The beautiful singer had gotten married to her Italian boyfriend, Ivano Fucci in 2016 and the duo has been living their happy life in Italy. On the last day of the year 2020, Shweta Pandit took to her IG handle and shared what the year 2020 taught her. Revealing how her daughter is a COVID baby, Shweta wrote, “Who else gave birth in early 2020? Well, my baby girl was NOT a lockdown baby. In fact, she is an actual #COVIDbaby!! She was born in Italy, which was litrelly where Covid hit the worst, and she was born when no one knew what we were dealing with! She was born, exactly when no one, literally no one, could mom-help me, come see her, come and hug me or give me laddoos or a postpartum massage. I was litrelly the only person she hugged all night for 9 months. I had no nanny or even a midwife to “actually” lead me - forget my own mom, who was in India at the time.”
Shweta further shared the only person, who was her support during those difficult times and continued, “Being a new mom itself is so hard in every aspect of being a woman, but being a covid mom is another level that i have experienced. I dont think anyone will experience what i did, this year. It was a book of a lifetime that i can write about. Unforgettable and so sensitive. The one human, who was my light all through this one helluva challenging year is my doting husband, @italyindia ! Nothing, literally nothing would have been possible without his unconditional love and support. He has been my rock. What a guy! So blessed to have his own little version to cuddle everyday! Thank you 2020 for making me a damn, damn rock chick mamma.” (Also Read: Madhuri Dixit's '2020 Rewind' Videos Include Her Special Moments With Hubby, Dr Nene And Their Sons)
