Shweta Tiwari's Ex-Husband Accused Her Of Hitting Him, 'When She Did That To Me Nobody Came...'

Shweta Tiwari ruled the television world with her popular show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She has also participated in reality shows like Bigg Boss 4, Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. Amid the ongoing rumours of Shweta Tiwari’s third marriage to Vishal Aditya Singh, let us look back at the time when her estranged husband, Abhinav Kohli, accused the actress of hitting him. For the unversed, Shweta tied the knot with Abhinav Kohli in 2013, and the couple welcomed their son, Reyansh. However, after a few years of marital bliss, cracks started appearing in their relationship.

In 2019, Shweta accused Abhinav of physically attacking her and even molesting her daughter, Palak and also filed a case against him. In his defence, Abhinav reacted to the allegation, and in an interview with SpotboyE, he shared:

“I have never beaten Shweta apart from that slap which Palak herself has mentioned in that open letter. And I had already apologised for that slap to both of them. This whole thing is just a confusion created by Shweta just to prove that I subjected her to domestic violence which is not true. I have never been a woman beater.”

In the same interview, Abhinav revealed being hit by Shweta. Elaborating on how his estranged wife never accepted hitting him, the actor said:

“On the contrary to her claims, Shweta has hit me with a stick. Shweta says I also get provoked but I have not hit anybody. But she has hit me and when she did that to me nobody came to know as I didn't go to the media and said anything or ran away from my child which she has been doing. You (Shweta) hit me, used your daughter to put a wrong allegation on me who was brought up by this very man, created a wrong image in front of the world."

Shweta Tiwari’s first marriage was with actor, Raja Chaudhary. The duo got married in 1998 and welcomed their daughter, Palak Tiwari, in 2000. Shweta had been a victim of domestic abuse in her first marriage. After none years of horrible marriage with Raj, Shweta filed for a divorce in 2007, and she was granted the same in 2012.

In 2013, Shweta gave love another chance and married actor, Abhinav Kohli. In 2016, the couple welcomed their son, Reyansh Kohli. However, cracks started appearing in Shweta and Abhinav’s relationship in 2017, and soon, Shweta filed a complaint against him for domestic violence. The couple left no stone unturned to wash their dirty linen in public. After a lot of accusations, Shweta and Abhinav were granted divorce in 2019.
