Rishi Kapoor's 'First Crush', Simmi Garewal Penned An Emotional Note As She Remembers The Late Actor

The year 2020 marked the beginning of a brand new decade that many looked onto with bright eyes. However, it is proving to be the most brutal year so far. Now, five months into it and we have already seen a lot. First, the COVID-19 outbreak in India became a concern then we got locked inside our homes, and then came the saddest news of the demise of our favourite actor, Rishi Kapoor. We are sure that once the lockdown gets over, the filmy duniya will never be the same as we will never be able to see our favourite Bade Dil Wala again. (Recommend Read: Asim Riaz Popped The Question To Girlfriend, Himanshi Khurana With A Stunning Diamond Ring Already?)

In the morning of April 30, 2020, Rishi ji had left for his heavenly abode, leaving his family and fans heartbroken. The actor had given a tough fight to cancer for the past two years. And on a regular morning amidst the lockdown, he had bid us goodbye, and sadly, his fans couldn't even attend his last rites. But everyone tried paying their last tribute to the legendary actor, who had always spoken from his heart and never sugarcoated his opinion. And his 'first crush', Simmi Garewal also penned an emotional note for her 'darling Chintu'.

Recently, Simmi took to her Twitter handle and penned the last note for her favourite co-star, Rishi ji, who had always made her laugh till she cried. Her tweet can be read as "#RishiKapoor! My Chintu darling has gone. My dearest friend, my costar, my playmate. The one who used to make me laugh till I cried! Now there are only tears. No last goodbye. No funeral. No consoling embraces. Silence. Emptiness. Grief." Take a look at her heartbreaking words below:

For those who don't know, Rishi Kapoor had admitted on Simmi's chat show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, that she was the first crush of his. He had shared, "She holds a very special place in my heart. She was my first crush, my first love. In the film Mera Naam Joker, if you see that. The way she guided me, helped me. Whatever I have done in the film, is only because of Mr Raj Kapoor, who was our director. And because of Simi."  (Also Read: Sunny Leone Shares Glimpses Of Her 'Family Art' With Hubby, Daniel And Kids, Nisha, Asher And Noah)

During the same show, Simmi had asked Rishi ji what had changed after he had gotten successful, "I remember you in the first film. You were so much fun. Funny, adorable. You would do pranks and get away with them because you had such an innocent face. And I adored you! But I want to ask you, what happened when we did Karz and Kabhie Kabhie? Because there I felt, I do not know Chintu anymore!" To which, Rishi ji had replied, "I got polluted. It is a very natural process, for anyone to mature. To be honest, after Bobby, I was flying. Dimple got married and I took the entire credit of the film. I was a 20-year-old kid, brash, being paid so much of money. Thankfully, my next film (Zehreela Insaan) crashed. I was grounded like anything." (Don't Miss: Shah Rukh Khan's Daughter, Suhana Khan Secretly Captured Grooving And Singing Eminem's Song, Watch)
