Smriti Irani, who is still famously known as 'Tulsi' from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, talked about shooting for the serial on her wedding day. Not only this, but Smriti Irani also revealed that she was back on the sets within three days of delivering her first baby. While this kind of dedication towards work can leave everyone stunned, for Smriti, there was no other option. The former actress and now-politician opened up about the reason of working through the most crucial phase of her life.
Recently, Smriti Irani shared her life story in a podcast with All About Eve India. During one of the segments, the interviewer asked her if she was working on the day of her wedding, Smriti casually accepted and said, 'Yes'. Later, the interviewer asked whether she had resumed her work right after delivering her first child.

To this, Smriti coolly confirmed it and revealed that within three days. Smriti revealed that she did it all because she was poor. She added that if you are poor and you get the opportunity to earn that you never miss any chance to work. Smriti shared that her parents lived above a room in a stable and she was born in a government hospital. She added that poverty adds pressure on you.
In an interview with Neelesh Mishra for his show, The Slow Interview With Neelesh Mishra, Smriti Irani talked about her life and her struggles as she came from a humble background. During the interview, she shared one of the scariest moments of her life when she had pleaded with a man. Smriti revealed that a man stalked her when she was a seventh or eighth month pregnant.

Smriti Irani shared that her husband, Zubin Irani was out of the country for work, when the man stopped in the middle of the road, and asked her to marry him. Smriti was shocked and pleaded with him for her life as if had hit her womb, her child would have died. Talking about the same, Smriti said:
"The weirdest a man stalked me was when I was pregnant with Zohr. Zubin was overseas, I was in seventh or eighth months of my pregnancy. Her din koi mera peecha karta tha. Kya bhaiya kon ho. Mota peat lekar hum chal rahe hai kyoki gaadi thi nai, "I have to marry you." I said, "Pagla gaye ho kya.""
Smriti shared that was the time when she calculated that if he had a weapon and he hits on her womb, her child would die. She shared that it was the only time, she thought of negotiating for her life. She said:
"In that one second for the first time in my life I said, "Haath mat uthana." Kyonki agar usne mere paet par maar diya toh bacha marr jayega. And I don't think I ever pleaded. That was the only time I said, "Jane dijiye please.""
