But did you know that Sobhita was in a steady relationship before dating Naga Chaitanya? Yes, you read that right. Before Chaitanya came into her life, Sobhita was dating ace fashion designer, Pranav Misra. He is also the co-founder of the brand, Huemn.
The duo reportedly met in 2019 during a fashion show and had a brief relationship. They also went on holidays and would often comment on each other’s social media posts. Their affair was short-lived, and the duo parted ways for reasons unknown.

In March 2023, rumours of their affair got more widespread when they were spotted together in a restaurant in London. Back then, Chef, Surender Mohan mistakenly shared a picture featuring Chaitanya posing with him while Sobhita was seen sitting in the background wearing a saree. Though the chef deleted the post later, it was quite obvious that Chaitanya and Sobhita were in a relationship.
In 2024, Chaitanya and Sobhita went on holiday in Europe and were spotted together enjoying a wine-tasting session. A Redditor took to the discussion platform to share a picture of Chaitanya and Sobhita from their trip. This glimpse led people on the internet to believe that the two were indeed in a relationship despite the couple never confirming or denying the speculations to date.
Amid all the rumours about Chaitanya and Sobhita’s affair, a post by Nagarjuna Akkineni on August 8, 2024, announcing the couple’s engagement came as a surprise to many. Sharing pictures of Chaitanya and Sobhita, Nagarjuna penned:
“We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8 A beginning of infinite love."
Sobhita and Chaitanya’s wedding festivities are going on in full swing. In October 2024, the actress posted an array of pictures from her Godhuma Raayi ceremony. Sobhita Dhulipala attended the Godhuma Raayi ceremony wearing a beautiful pink Kanjivaram silk saree, reportedly gifted to her by Lakshmi Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya’s mother. The couple’s wedding is reportedly scheduled for December 4, 2024.
