Sobhita Dhulipala Exudes Elegance In A Silk Kanjivaram Saree Gifted To Her By Chaitanya's Mother

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have begun their wedding preparations. The couple exchanged rings in a ceremony that took place on August 8, 2024. Moments after the ceremony, Sobhita shared the pictures on her Instagram handle and fans got to know about them. The weddings displayed the couple's bond and different aspects of their cultures, which many of their fans admired most.

Sobhita Dhulipala attended the Godhuma Raayi ceremony wearing a beautiful pink Kanjivaram silk saree gifted to her by Lakshmi Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya’s mother. Rather than splurging on designer clothes, Sobhita respected her mother-in-law-to-be by wearing a saree that is emblematic of Indian customs and values. 

Such gestures symbolise love in marriage. Sobhita's choice was reflective not only of her appreciation of the importance of heritage and family within the passage ahead. In fact, she looked so much prettier because of this flaring red clothing while making her solemn acceptance of this new life, all for creating an aura of warmth and togetherness for the commemoration of this memorable day. 

Sobhita Dhulipala shines in traditional South Indian bridal attire

Sobhita Dhulipala looked stunning in that saree. The charming lady wore a beautiful orange-hued silk saree matched with a similar orange blouse lined in green and cream tones. Her hair was done up in a neat braid, embellished with a gajra that integrated brilliantly with the green bangles and gold ornaments set off against understated makeup to enthral. The stunning colours and delicate details of her outfit reflect the rich cultural heritage of South Indian brideswear. With her charming smile and perfect poise, Sobhita turned into a traditional bride. Alongside the photos, she wrote:

“Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchatam. And so it begins!”

Accompanied by the ladies of her family, Sobhita Dhulipala walked into the venue carrying a plate full of freshly harvested turmeric, proving easy in her exuding charm of a traditional South Indian bride. As the turmeric was being ground, all around must have been cordial and benevolent with the priest's and elders' blessings, symbolising her new beginnings and the cultural wealth she embraces in hearty spirit. 

Such smiles and laughter from friends and family only formed the wonderful backdrop for the ceremony and made it even special. Sobhita exuded grace and poise, highlighting the sacredness of these rituals into this new chapter of her life. 

The joyful pasupu danchatam ceremony in Telugu weddings

Pasupu Danchatam, for the uninitiated, is a customary Telugu ceremony that heralds an imminent wedding in the family. This ceremony is mostly in favour of the groom's family and the bride's family, arriving with a cheerful aura of love, celebration, and blessings for the imminent union. This great tradition joins families in a manner they could not even begin to imagine and sets the stage for a truly glorious wedding celebration. 

On the work front, Sobhita Dhulipala was last seen in the OTT show, Love, Sitara. Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for the release of Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and starring Sai Pallavi in the lead role.
