The UAE-based entrepreneur, Sohan Roy is the founder, chairman and CEO of Aries Group of Companies. As per the reports, there are 59 companies in 25 different countries under the umbrella of Aries Group. It was back in 1998 when Sohan Roy founded the company. After decades of hard work and persistence, Sohan Roy’s Aries Group of Companies became one of the largest multinational conglomerates in the middle east.

The famous businessman, Sohan Roy, who is ruling the middle-east was born in Kerala, India. Although much information about his parents and childhood isn’t available in the public domain. However, as per reports, he started his professional journey as a marine engineer. After working for some years as a marine engineer, he also worked as a marine surveyor in multiple companies. With all his experience while working in the marine industry, Sohan Roy founded Aries Marine and Engineering Services in 1998. The headquarter of the company is in Sharjah, UAE.
Sohan Roy, who is the CEO of Aries Group and an Indian businessman residing in the UAE, made a significant milestone in 2018. The billionaire businessman became the first Indian globally to own a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a luxury vehicle from the house of Rolls Royce Motor Cars.
Sohan Roy purchased the Rolls-Royce Cullinan as a heartfelt wedding anniversary present for his wife, Abhini Sohan. For the unversed, the car was launched in May 2018 at an estimated price of Rs. 6.95 crores.
In an interview with India Today, Sohan Roy opened up about becoming the first Indian in the world to own the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The businessman said that he wanted a special gift for his wife, Abhini Sohan, as the occasion was their 25th wedding anniversary. Hence, in his quest to buy something truly extraordinary for his wife, Sohan Roy purchased the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which perfectly matched his expectations. He said:
"I have always been an admirer of Rolls-Royce. I have been thinking of gifting something special to my wife Abhini Sohan on our 25th wedding anniversary, and was searching for something unique. The Cullinan met my expectations and I booked it straight away."

The UAE-based business magnate, Sohan Roy broke the headlines in May 2023, when on the 25th anniversary of his company, Aries Group of Companies, he rewarded his employees with a mammoth sum of Rs. 30 crores. Yes! You read it right. Sohan Roy termed the massive monetary gift as ‘Silver Jubilee Gift’ for the parents, spouses and kids of his employees. The gesture left the internet in awe of Sohan Roy as everyone started calling him the ‘dream boss’.
In an interview with Gulf News, when Sohan Roy was asked about his gesture to reward his employees with a sum of Rs. 30 crores, the entrepreneur clearly stated that the success of his company depends on the happiness of his employees. The businessman also added that these gestures would help strengthen a bond with the company and its employees. He said:
"We think that a company’s success depends on how satisfied its people are. This dedication is demonstrated by actions like inviting parents to the event and providing cash incentives for the entire family. We are confident that these initiatives will deepen the connection between workers and their families and increase pride in being a member of the Aries Group family."

The business magnate, Sohan Roy is a cinema lover, and in order to give meaning to his passion for films, he invested 10 billion USD in an ambitious project named Indywood. The project was started with the target of revamping the stature of Indian cinema and taking it to a point where it can challenge Hollywood and international cinema. The project was launched by conducting the All Lights India International Film Festival back in November 2015 in Kochi.
Not only this, Sohan Roy proved that his passion for cinema is second to none when his Aries Group took over legendary actor, Mohanlal’s Vismayas Max Studio complex. It is now known as Aries-Vismayas Max Studio. The entrepreneur directed the film, DAM999 and was the co-producer of the film, Kamasutra 3D.
The UAE-based Indian business tycoon is married to an ace fashion and interior designer, Abhini Sohan. The much-in-love couple is blessed with two daughters, Nivedya Sohan and Nirmalya Sohan. As per the reports, Nirmalya Sohan is married to an Italian guy named Gilberto. According to media reports, Nirmalya and Gilberto met when they were studying at the University of Southampton, UK. Both of them are Naval Architects and reportedly got married in a lavish wedding in December 2022.
