Sonakshi Sinha's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal dominated the headlines in June 2024. Despite a simple wedding, heartwarming pictures and videos from her D-day went viral. The actress has resumed work and has been busy promoting her film, Kakuda. Recently, Sonakshi sat down for an interview with ETimes and shared how she feels after marrying her longtime beau, Zaheer Iqbal.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal dated for seven years. The adorable couple married on June 23, 2024, in a simple registered marriage ceremony. Sonakshi said it felt like home being married to Zaheer, and she got to spend more time with him. The actress added that she and Zaheer have been like best friends, and she wished that she should have gotten married to him sooner. Sonakshi was quoted as saying:

"It feels like being home, finally. I enjoy spending time with Zaheer and we are truly best friends. So, I love being at work, being my own person and running back home and going to him. I wish it had happened soon but better late than never."

Despite the rumours about being them together made rounds on the internet, neither Sonakshi nor Zaheer gave any official confirmation. They often used to dodge the question in the media. The Lootera actress now feels happy and 'relieved' that she can freely share pictures with Zaheer online. She said she wanted to share photos with Zaheer before they married but could not do it.
Soon after their marriage, Zaheer and Sonakshi left for a brief honeymoon and shared several snaps. It reflected their happiness and love. However, they returned, and Sonakshi began promoting her upcoming film. After its release, Sonakshi has now jetted off for her second honeymoon with her husband, Zaheer, in the Philippines. She shared a picture on her IG handle that showcased beautiful glimpses of nature and revealed that she was waiting for Zaheer. Sharing the photo, Sonakshi wrote, "Now just waiting @iamzahero to get here coz we had to take separate flights." Zaheer reacted, writing:
"Deewana on his way baby."

On the work front, Sonakshi was seen in the popular web series, Heeramandi, released on May 1, 2024. She received massive appreciation for her performance in the debut web series by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actress is recently seen in Zee5 film, Kakuda, co-starring Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. It was released on July 11, 2024. The actress will next be seen in the movie, Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness.
