There are a lot of couples in Bollywood who have been through thick and thin together. One such couple is Sonali Bendre and her beloved husband, Goldie Behl. The two are completely different in terms of their likes and dislikes but it is the strength of love and the desire to be with each other, that makes them a power couple. The love story of Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl is no less than a Bollywood movie, as, on one side where Goldie is a Punjabi munda, Sonali is a Maharashtrian mulgi. The two had met for the first time on the sets of a film, Naaraaz that came back in 1994, and after a series of meetings, Goldie was in love with Sonali but had admitted in an interview that it was her slow eating habit that attracted him towards her instead of her extraordinary looks. Seeing these two in madly-in-love with each other is surely a sight to behold for Sonali’s fans. On November 12, 2002, both Goldie and Sonali had decided to tie the final knot. Since then, there’s no way back for the couple and in an interview with the Filmfare back in 2013, Goldie had addressed the support she receives constantly from Sonali. He had said, “She’s my pillar of strength. She’s stood by me every time I’ve been down. She’s so positive about me and our relationship. For any relationship to work, having belief and faith in the other person is important. She’s always believed in me. I have immense faith and belief in her too. I guess that’s the crux of our relationship. Even though our marriage has completed a decade, we’re still discovering each other. There’s so much more to find out about each other and enjoy a long and happy life together. It’s great and I hope it remains this way.”
On the other side, Sonali has also talked about the role played by Goldie in her battle against cancer and how he had been there as a pillar of strength for her. In a conversation with The Economic Times, Sonali had addressed the importance of her husband and how both families helped her fight the battle. She had said, “Goldie has been my rock and pillar of strength to help me fight cancer. Thank God, I decided to get married to him. My mother always told me that human being matters more. Of course, there are times when you realise material things are also important, which gets you the treatment in the US, but even that cannot give you the joy the family gives and sees you through it. That is the most important thing.” (Don't Miss: Maanayata Dutt Is All Heart For Trishala Dutt's Priceless Throwback Picture With Dadaji, Sunil Dutt)
