Life is so unpredictable that you won’t get to know what googlie it will throw in the next spur of a moment. Just like that the entire nation was in a shock when Sridevi ji left us in a jiffy in February 2018. People were not able to come to terms with this untimely death of the Bollywood diva, when we came to know one of the fittest Bollywood actresses, Sonali Bendre, is having metastatic cancer. This news just blew everyone, but we are sure Sonali Bendre is going to come back as a winner. Sonali, who is now undergoing the cancer treatment in New York, time and again shares her recovery pictures on social media. Due to the treatment, Sonali had to cut her hair short and then go bald altogether, for which again she took to social media. And now, yet again, Sonali shared her new look with a new hairstyle. Following is the post she shared on her official Instagram account, where she can be seen wearing a wig with confidence. Along with it, she wrote, "Vanity is my favourite sin." - Al Pacino Well, it might not be my all-time favourite sin (that would be gluttony), but who doesn't like looking good? The way we look has a profound psychological impact on us... A little vanity here and there does no one any harm.”
She has further shared, “It's important to do what makes you happy, even if it's something as simple as wearing a wig, bright red lipstick, high heels.... All that white noise doesn't make a difference in the larger picture. No one can tell you what's right or wrong for you. When I was testing out the wigs, I had a brief moment of self-doubt... "Am I vain for wanting to look good?" As part of the entertainment industry, you're always expected to look good.”
The post can further be read as, “Maybe that has been ingrained in me? But then I gave it a thought and I realized I like looking good for me. If I'm in the mood to wear a scarf, I will. If I want to walk around bald and free, I will. Only you know what would make you feel good, and what works best for you. So take every opportunity you can to #SwitchOnTheSunshine. #OneDayAtATime Thank you @priyankachopra for connecting me with the amazing @bokheehair, who created my new look.” (Do Check: Ranveer Singh Had A Blasting Bachelor Party And Apparently Deepika Padukone Also Attended It)

Sharing her short hair look earlier, she wrote, “In the words of my favourite author Isabel Allende, “We don't even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. In times of tragedy, of war, of necessity, people do amazing things. The human capacity for survival and renewal is awesome”.
She further shared, “The outpouring of love I’ve received in the last few days has been so overwhelming… and I’m especially grateful to those of you who shared stories of your experiences in dealing with cancer, whether it was your own or of loved ones. Your stories have given me an extra dosage of strength and courage, and more importantly, the knowledge that I’m not alone”.
The post further continued, “Each day comes with its own challenges and victories and so for now, I’m taking this #OneDayAtATime. The only thing I’m trying to be consistent about is maintaining a positive outlook... literally #SwitchOnTheSunshine - it’s my way of dealing with this. Sharing my journey is also part of this process... I can only hope it reminds you that all is not lost and that someone, somewhere understands what you’re going through. Thank you @tomoarakawa for making this a chic transition from long to short!”. (Also Check Out: Shahid Kapoor Escorts His Pregnant Wife Mira Rajput Kapoor Safely To The Car After Their Dinner Date)
Sonali Bendre is strong and she is proving it all this while. Breaking this heart-wrenching news on social media in July 2018, Sonali wrote, “Sometimes when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastasized, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them.” (Also Read: Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya Gets Pampered By The Women Brigade In Her Hometown, Performs Puja WithThem)
She further added, "There is no better way to tackle this than to take swift and immediate action. And so, as advised by my doctors, I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way. What has helped has been the immense outpouring of love and support I've received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful. I'm taking this battle head-on, knowing I have the strength of my family and friends behind me."
Sharing about Sonali’s recovery, her sister-in-law, Shrishti Arya was quoted as saying, “She is staying strong”. She further added, “Sonali is a fighter. She will definitely prevail. She has a lot of positive energy. She will be back. We are all very grateful for the outpouring of love.”
For the ones who don’t know, Goldie and Sonali tied the knot in the year 2002. It’s been over 16 years that the couple is together and their love has only grown over the years. Talking about Sonali’s love for him, Goldie was once quoted as saying, “She’s my pillar of strength. She’s stood by me every time I’ve been down. She’s so positive about me and our relationship. For any relationship to work, having belief and faith in the other person is important. She’s always believed in me. I have immense faith and belief in her too. I guess that’s the crux of our relationship. Even though our marriage has completed a decade, we’re still discovering each other. There’s so much more to find out about each other and enjoy a long and happy life together. It’s great and I hope it remains this way”.
Sonali Bendre, we are missing you here in India, come back soon and that too healthy. We wish you a speedy recovery our lovely fighter!
