To this, the actress shared that one of the shadiest pickup lines was when someone asked her where she was from.

The actress replied that she was from India, and the pickup line used on her was, 'Oh, I thought you were from heaven'. Karan reacted with an 'ew'. Hearing the same, Sonam, who was a guest on the show, too, called it 'gross'. Karan Johar further asked Deepika if she had ever dated that man and the actress replied no.
Soon after the video went viral, netizens rushed to the comment section to drop their opinions. Some users called Sonam jealous, while others praised Deepika. On the other hand, other users shared that the pickup line was not at all shadiest. One user wrote, "Sonam is jealous....no one ever praised her." The particular KWK episode featuring Sonam and Deepika grabbed a lot of attention. However, if the reports were to go by, the two actresses would never got along with one another. As per reports, Sonam reportedly took a dig at Deepika in an interview. In 2016, the actress, in an interview, was asked how she maintains a cordial bond with her male co-stars. To this, she replied that she never really got intimate with her male co-stars in real life. Thus, she always had a good bond with them. Although, she didn't take anyone's name, netizens felt that it was an indirect dig at Deepika Padukone.
