Sonam Kapoor is one of the most stunning actresses in the industry. Time and again, she has proved her mettle of acting. In addition, Sonam's fashion sense is also truly loved and followed by her millions of fans. However, she also gets slammed by the netizens for her statements during various interviews. Recently, as a Reddit user shared one such video consisting of a similar statement, talking about her privileges, she was once again bashed by the netizens.
A Reddit user made a montage video of Sonam's three interviews, wherein she can be heard talking about the privileges she got for being Anil Kapoor's daughter. In the first clip, reportedly from Sonam's initial days in the industry, she can be heard saying, "I'm Anil Kapoor's daughter, I have got everything that I want. I mean if I wasn't I mean I have been born with a silver spoon in my mouth." Soon, the scene changed, and the second clip featured Sonam in a red-hued dress, and she was again heard feeling lucky to be born to one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, Anil Kapoor and his wife, Sunita Kapoor. In Sonam's words:

"And yes I am very very lucky I am born with a silver spoon. I have everything."

Further, when the scene changed, Sonam could be seen talking about her privileges in an interview with the Film Companion. Therein, the actress mentioned how weird things are often written about her in the media. Those things used to make her uncomfortable earlier. But now that she knows her value, those trivial things don't matter to her. In her words:
"I have like weird things written about me like girl born with the silver spoon, the princess of Hindi cinema, whatever, like all this weird, freaky like uncomfortable labels. Now, its just like guys I have worked very hard to get where I am. I worked very hard to look like this."

As soon as the video was posted, netizens started commenting about one sentence from the clip, wherein she talked about the hard work she had to do to reach where she is today. One netizen wrote, "‘Princess of Hindi cinema’ who wrote that." Another one mentioned, "Hahahahahahah i can’t stop laughing." However, a few others also criticised those who tried to bash Sonam for her statements.

On October 27, 2023, Sonam graced the opening ceremony of the Jio MAMI Film Festival and looked every bit regal in a black-coloured velvet co-ord set. Her outfit included a peplum top that featured a plunging neckline and statement sleeves. She styled it with a matching hued skirt, which was attached with mesh-patterned pearl strings. Sonam complemented her look with a pearl necklace, matching earrings, bold red lips, a big hat and a sleek bun.
