Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have become the 'IT' couple of the Tinseltown in the past one year. Ever since their couple pictures from Bulgaria, where they shot for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, started surfacing online last year, conjectures started to churn the media mills about their then-alleged relationship. But now, we refrain from using the word 'alleged' when it comes to Alia and Ranbir, as they are self-admittedly, head-over-heels in love with each other. Alia and Ranbir's wedding reports have been rife to such a level that a media house recently claimed that they are going to get married at the same destination where Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone took the wedding vows. Yes, you guessed it right! It's Lake Como, Italy. Alia Bhatt's mother, Soni Razdan, has now come out in the front and defied such reports of a secret wedding in Italy. As per The Times of India, the Yours Truly actress was quoted as saying, "It is a totally baseless rumour!"
Well, seems like we have to wait for some time to witness Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding. Soni Razdan had earlier commented on her daughter's wedding as well. Talking to an online tabloid, Soni ji had shared that she wants Alia to live her life the way she wants to. Soni Razdan had said, "Look, it is sweet of all their fans to ask everything about them. I am Alia's mother. I really do not want to talk about my daughter's personal life. I want her to be happy. And she has my love and blessing on everything she does, beyond that I want her to live her life the way she wants to."
In yet another interview, Alia’s doting mommy had opened up about her daughter’s wedding speculations and had revealed, “I guess it's natural. It's a natural curiosity that people will get. But umm, her personal life is hers and I'm very clear about that.” (Must Read: 'Naagin 3' Fame Pavitra Finds Love In Ace Of Space Fame After Broken Engagement And Failed Relation)

Alia's mother, her father- Mahesh Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor's parents- Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, have all been vocal about their children's wedding. For instance, Mahesh Bhatt, in an interview with The Telegraph, had revealed last year, “Well, of course, they’re in love (Alia and Ranbir). You don’t need to be a genius to get that! I love Ranbir… he’s a great guy. What they do to their relationship is something they’ll have to figure out.”
Alia had stated, “Not at all! I feel it’s all unnecessary chatter. You have to understand that personal life is called ‘personal’ for a reason. In fact, that’s why, not many speak up about their relationships. The minute you say anything, there are random pieces of news including my supposed marriage.”
Ranbir Kapoor’s father, Rishi Kapoor, during an interview with the Mid-Day last August had hinted of his son's relationship status with Alia. He had shared, “Jo hai woh hai, sabko pata hai. I don't need to say anything more.” In yet another interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rishi had stated, “Neetu likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her. Get it? I can't be judgmental. After all, my uncles Shammiji and Shashiji and I chose our life partners. Ranbir is entitled to choose his."
Alia Bhatt has had two releases recently- Gully Boy and Kalank. Naturally, during the promotions of these two films, she was asked about Ranbir Kapoor and their wedding. In a promotional interview, she had talked about her idea of marriage and had shared, “But marriage is something that hasn’t even crossed my mind. I am not averse to it. But it’s not a part of my plan right now. I have a lot of work to do. It’s not as if I won’t work post marriage, whenever it happens. But right now, my focus is just on work. My priorities will probably shift in time. As of now, it hasn’t.”
In an earlier interview with the DNA, Alia Bhatt had spoken about putting a date to her wedding, “I’m too young to think about it. When I feel there’s a need to be in a stronger bond with him, we will come to it. But right now, I’m married to my work and I also have my relationship going well on the side."
